Has anyone had liqour yet?

I haveb een doing good lately with my weight loss, diet and workout. I don't wanna drink, but what do I do when I go out with my girls I do wanna have a few drinks, but I know it is empty calories. Has anyone went out for drinks at all if so what do you drink and what do you do so that you don't gain the weigh back?

I'll have a couple of drinks every now and then . If we at my house or I'm going over a friends I'll take a batch of skinny Cosmos with me 80 cals. If I'm out it's gonna be a Vodka and cranberry juice. It is empty calories so be careful.

If it is occasional, you shouldn't have a problem with a few drinks. For the same reason you don't want to drink your meals. It is calorie laden and not very satisfying. Personally, I get hungry after a few glasses of wine and want to eat my house. This is incentive enough for me to limit this practice. Are you staying up on your fills and limiting your Snacks between meals? You may be in a stall, but this is a good time to measure yourself and pay attention to how your clothes feel. Hugs!!!

I spoke my to my nut about this just yesterday lol. She said that the point of living is to enjoy it. Being skinny isn't the end all and that if you're not happy living life what's the point? That being said, She said have at it with the booze, just keep it in moderation and counter act with the excersise. Her suggestion was stay away from the beer and light on the sugar. Hard liquour (like vodka) is the best IF you are going to drink. (She specifically said vodka)

I drank about 1/5 of a cup of orange juice and peach schnapps the other day. it was ok didnt really want to finish it. And tonight, a margarita is in order! (i'm 5 weeks out)... I'll let ya know how i make out!

yeah thats all I do drink is vodka nothing else I used to drink beer until the band gave it up.

i've had light beer, but i always drink halfways.....then i've had some red wine and some scotch with mineral Water. can't drink a full glass.....i just try not to drink so often....on fridays or saturdays, that's it.

      Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
