tztmama 0 Posted November 5, 2005 I am very frustrated with myself! After surgery I lost about17 pounds in a month. Then, I go out of town and eat more than I should. I got the Proteins in first like I was supposed to but there sure wasn't the best carbs around this tiny town. Ok. I could blame it on lots of things. Bottom line. I am not eating like I should and feel absolutely no restriction. I am putting a lot of faith in this "magical" fill I will get next week but have heard that it takes quite a few fills to get it to work. I guess I had two expections (unrealistic of course): 1. The band would do most of the work for me and 2. It woulld work right away. Seems lilke this journey is going to take longer than I thought and at this point I am not even sure I going to get very far down the road. Maybe I need to get back on diet pills or lexapro. Whhaaa Whaaaa AAAAAGGGH!
liannatx 897 Posted November 6, 2005 Dont get on diet pills. You chose the band because it will help you lose in a slower healthy fashion. Have some patience and wait to see how you feel after your first fill. Hang in there!
ejezyk 0 Posted November 6, 2005 Hola, I was banded 10/3/05 I was frustrated also but I made the decision to have this surgery not because it was a miricle cure but because I needed help with the AMOUNT that I eat. I still have to have some control over my self. I was working on a paper ( I am finishing PhD) and I freaked out.... I ate all day long ARGGGG. BUT I watched what I ate and realized I have to deal with the stress better. So that night I had to really evaluate a plan for what I was going to do the next time. I have had a fill and it has done nothing yet my doc said it would be awhile and a few more fills. I have to keep it together til then. At least I now I am not alone and can come here for support. Good luck Elda
