ash23 1 Posted February 25, 2010 Im feeling pretty sore and I think my stomach is a little confused to say the least. Im not sure if Im having hunger pains or just feeling bloated. Im sure this isn't abnormal, but is anyone else feeling or felt the same way or have any advice?
leroyspuds 0 Posted February 25, 2010 Hi There, I'm on day 4 and I'm having some sensations that I'm trying to figure out. I believe a lot of it is hunger pangs. I didn't think I would feel hungry right after surgery but I do. I would like to be able to have four instead of three meals so I don't have the hunger pangs as bad. I plan to ask my doctor about it. Last night I experienced the sensation of being a little too full after drinking a bit too much broth. It was a tightness in the middle of my chest along with a little heartburn. I'm taking care to limit my full liquid meals (yogurt, Soup, pudding) to 2 oz. I sometimes feel a tightness in my stomach which is relieved by expelling gas. I'm not having a lot of gas at this point though. These are some of the sensations I've experienced. I guess it's all normal, but it does take some getting used to. Good luck to you! Thank you for your response. Like you I am sure I will begin to learn what each pain or sensation is. I know that I definitely do not have an appetite as of right now just feeling kind of gassy. I have to eat Clear liquids and juices for a weak and then onto cream Soups etc. then onto week 3-4 soft foods such as mashies, yogurt, and pudding. Good luck on our weight loss journey! outside*looking*in 0 Posted February 25, 2010 I am about 3 weeks out. I know everyone is different and I remember having to deal more with head hunger. I was not that hungry and even had a hard time finishing my shakes or yogurt. I thought it was crazy to hear my stomach gurgle and think "I not hungry - why is my stomach growling??" Now - I feel hungry by the time it starts growling at me. There are a lot of things/adjustments to get used to. I notice that now that I am really hungry, I eat bigger bites and eat faster. I guess it is a learning process for everyone. I lost 10lbs but now that I am starting to feel hunger and allowed back on regular food, I went up a pound. SO - I will now start the journaling and measure everything. Best of luck to you.
