mercyprecious 0 Posted February 21, 2010 Hi everyone, I am scheduled to have my surgery on March 1st and am so excited. I'm looking forward to being able to run and play with my grandkids. At 53 I have gone from "maybe this will be the year i can finally stay on a diet and lose some weight" to " I'm ready to have the Lapband surgery and get this show on the road! Woo-Hoo!"
bandpal 7 Posted February 21, 2010 Good for you, and let me assure that your dreams are well within the realm of the possible! The band is a great tool, and the wisdom and experience and support you'll receive here will help you use it. One of my favorite quotes is, "Miracles sometimes occur, but one has to work terribly hard for them." If you do the work, your own miracle has already begun. Welcome! Astrasmom 1 Posted February 21, 2010 Hi everyone, I am scheduled to have my surgery on March 1st and am so excited. I'm looking forward to being able to run and play with my grandkids. At 53 I have gone from "maybe this will be the year i can finally stay on a diet and lose some weight" to " I'm ready to have the LAP-BAND® surgery and get this show on the road! Woo-Hoo!" Congratulations to you!! Anything is possible if you apply yourself. And it sounds like you have a good attitude. Stick with the plan that the doctor gives you and work hard, and soon your grandchildren will be telling you to slow down because they can't keep up with you. Please keep us posted on your progress.
