PrairieDawn 0 Posted November 8, 2010 What has everyone been up to? My first flight since banding was easy. I just stuck to the liquid before and after, and really didn't feel like eating much later at dinner. We have a few more trips coming up this month and I feel comfortable that things will work out. My NSV-->I am able to fit into size 16 pants. My mom and co-workers have been telling me to stop wearing those baggy pants, but I held on. So today, I'm going to do the purging of the closet of those 20's & 22's. Lots of work to do cause I love to shop!!!! I'm really happy that this group is around because when I start to feel like I'm not using my tool right, I can learn different ways to use it here. Thanks!!! I'm glad the flight went well! Let me know if you need a home for those 20's and 22's! I could really use them!

I am so glad to hear from everyone again, I too had to have a little bit of a fill taken out this last time...NOT FUN! I am not sure if it was an overfill or if I messed up by chewing too soon either way LESSON LEARNED!! KC==If you are planning on donating your clothes I would be interested in them, When I started I was a size 24 and now I think I am a 22 or a 20 but I don't want to go buy a bunch of clothes because my journey is long from over. I wish they still had the clothing closet at Malley's. Anyway I can't afford to pay much but if you are interested in donating let me know!!! If not no worries, just enjoy shopping for the smaller size My husband and I went on a marriage retreat this last weekend and I have found out I do much better eating out than at home as far as taking my time....seems like at home I am thinking about the 500 other things I need to be doing and sometimes forget about eating slow  It is a learning process so I am getting better about it but just wanted to share in case anyone else had that problem too. I hope all is well with everyone!!

I have an appointment this Wednesday at 2pm. If you want, I can take the clothes with me and you all can go through them then. It's mostly sweaters from Dress Barn and Lane Bryant. joycie 0 Posted November 11, 2010 Fashion Bug in Olathe is now a clearance store. Everything in the store was on extra clearance a couple of weeks ago. Their sizes range from 30-32 down to 6.
qtney1 1 Posted November 11, 2010 Thank you for the tip! I love Fashion Bug since they have cute clothes without paying OUTRAGEOUS prices. And a clearance center is a much added bonus....especially with the downward weight trends we all have. YAY!!!!!
KS_sxychoc 0 Posted December 15, 2010 Hey...how is everyone doing? I'm so sorry that I haven't been on here lately. I needed to chat but life is crazy. I'm on a 5 day vacation right now. Things are still moving slowly, but I can make some additional changes to move them along faster. How are you handling the holiday madness? I love shopping and I've done really good of not buying to many clothes for my self. I did buy some new jeans in a size 14 (they don't fit yet) but I only paid 10 for both pair at Lane Bryant. See...I really am cheap!!!! With the new year approaching...most people set goals. I'm not sure what additional goals I'll set, other than to lose another 50 lbs. How about you all? How do you reward yourself for reaching your goal?
bandcamp1210 1 Posted December 17, 2010 I am new to the board and I am just starting to find my way around it. I am getting banded the 29th of December at Malley Surgical Center. I am so excited!!! I have a lot to lose, 150 lbs. Saying that outloud scares me, but I am done with this body the way it is. I have had it with feeling terrible, self concious, unhealthy. I am ready to spend my next 50 years feeling a WHOLE lot better! 1 Losing in Kansas reacted to this

KS_sxychoc 0 Posted December 27, 2010 Just wondering if any of you have used coconut Water. I've tried several brands and I like it, but I'm still in the process of studying the benefits.

sam3841 57 Posted December 27, 2010 Hey bandcamp! I was banded at Malley! I was so scared; but once I got there, everything was so smooth and the nurses/doctors knew exactly how everything should go. My surgery was at 10am and I woke up around 12. I was moving around really quickly and left around 2:30. They are great. The nurse was constantly there, I doubt I could even try to get out of bed without them rushing into my room. I have lost 20lbs in a month! I healed really quickly. I did not throw up once and I stopped taking the pain meds 3 days after surgery. I am in Lee's Summit! Hope this helps, Stacy
