I am in the full liquid stage and I was wondering if anyone can give me any suggestions. What resturant or fast food place sells creme or pureed Soup or and type of food I can eat while I am in the full liquid phase. I go out to eat often and I really don't know where I can eat. I would appreciate any help.

Hi,

I enjoy eating out too and am in the full liquid phase as well. Last night I had my husband go to our local Thai place and he got me Tom Kah Soup with chicken. My husband ate the chicken but that soup was some of the best I've ever had. Quite filling because of the coconut milk. I had him get the Tom Yum soup the night before with veggies (skipped the vegges too) and it was so good. They are basically the same soup just one has coconut milk added. I like the Kah better as it was more filling and so delicious! I had never had either before and it was a great treat and I have leftovers for tonight!

Sweet Tomatoes is a chain we have here in Dallas, that has a Soup bar and the broth from the Soups are great. Also I have tried the sugar free Mousse from Jell-O in the little cups - they are great for the sweet craving.

My Friends don't know I am banded and took me out to dinner at Claim Jumpers for My birthday 2 weeks after I was banded... To top it off, I was due to have Knee replacement surgery the following day... So I used that as my excuse to pass on "chew" food and I ordered the French Onion Soup with No onions... Just the broth... It was so rich and delicious! (I did sneak 2 packs of crackers all crumbled up into it) I was always afraid "onion" soup would be gross but it didn't taste like a bunch of boiled onions like I thought it would.... Hehe... At IHOP and Dennys, I ordered the chicken noodle soup and I asked for only the broth... Most places are happy to accomodate those kinds of requests....

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
