wannabthinagain 0 Posted February 18, 2010 for those of you who had tummy and breast done at the same time.... when did your surgeon say you could start exercising (even just stretching, walking, light weights, etc) when did you FEEL like exercising, and when did you really get back into it? Thanks!
sprkl 0 Posted February 18, 2010 Hi, The Surgeon's that I work for usually suggest that you could start walking as soon as you are up to it. (week or so) It is usually about 4 weeks for any heavy lifting, and about 6 weeks until you are released to full exercize. I had breast lift/implants/tummy tuck and Lipo on the same day, went back to work in 2 weeks.

Thanks! I just wanted to comment and make sure you are weight stable for at least 6 months before you have surgery. it's really important. Once the weight is off everything takes a while to redistribute itself. You will not be doing yourself a favor if you short circuit that process. I had a LBL and then did breasts and arms later and after the LBL it was 6 weeks before I wanted to start light treadmill again and about 8 weeks before I was in the Water swimming laps. It was a little quicker with the arms and breasts - I was walking after 2 weeks locally and on the treadmill by 3 weeks. Swimming was 6 weeks and boy was it weird....But I am full steam ahead now... As far as when I wanted to exercise, by 2 weeks after both sets of procedures I wanted to exercise because I hate sitting still, but I followed the doc's instructions..
