illuminationlady 7 Posted February 17, 2010 Many of you know that last week I got my second fill. The next night I got stuck on a brussell sprout. Tonight we had steak....yes...steak.I took small bites and chewed a lot....but I started to feel stuck right in the beginning of the meal. I put my fork down, did not freak out and waited patiently. After about 5-7 minutes I was able to resume eating and finished my small 3 oz. piece of steak and most of my brocclii. I handled the situation very well and am super proud of myself for doing so...

tarajim 20 Posted February 17, 2010 I have eaten a lot of steak since banding. Always VERY small bites, and very slow eating. Filet is my favorite. Marinate well and the steak is more tender. Strips and T-bones are probably too tough. Part of a ribeye was good, I split it with someone, and never eat a whole one any more (22oz bone in used to be no problem). Congratulations!!!! BetsyB 9 Posted February 17, 2010 Great job! I, too, find that just sort of quietly waiting and listening to my body helps short-circuit bigger problems
mominkansas 2 Posted February 17, 2010 Good job! Broccoli is also a tough one for most. I miss steak, though I had some amazing prime rib a few weeks ago that could honestly cut like butter. It was a nice surprise!
