I had that feeling quite a bit the first couple of weeks I was banded and I found that walking helps. Or I went to bed and slept it off. Do you think maybe you ate too much too fast?

I don't think so I'm still on mostly liquids. The women from my Dr. office thinks that I need more protien, I'm not taking in enough, which is true , I was told that at my Post op put I never knew that not enough wouyld make you feel so sick. So I am going to try to take in more today and see if it helps Thanks

I learned, pretty quickly post-banding, that milk and milk-based foods nauseate me. Lactose intolerance postop is pretty common.

I wonder if you're experiencing this.

(FWIW, cheese and yogurt, because of the bacterial cultures they contain, don't cause problems. But milk, puddings, and so on--they're a no-go.)

ETA: After reading the other responses, I wonder whether you're getting enough Fluid. While not enough Protein might be the problem, it's kind of early in the game for that to produce symptoms. Dehydration, OTOH, is the #1 cause of nausea.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
