Sandman 0 Posted February 15, 2010 I've been approved by BCBS to have surgery on Friday. While looking through some insurance paperwork I noticed they want you to be smoke free for surgery. I am not. I'm afraid they will say after surgery they won't pay because I wasn't smoke free and I'll be on the hook for the entire bill! Does anyone have any experience with a situation like this! howdybooth 4 Posted February 15, 2010 Stop smoking! I know that it's easier said then done, but I smoked for 20+ years and quit 3 years ago. Try Chantix - it worked wonders for me. I was a non-smoker by the end of the 8th day of being on the meds.
