Past couple of months I get really tight during my TOM. I can hardly eat anything. If I try, it I usually vomit. I believe this is fairly common but, what do you do?

Just grin and bare it? Wait for it to pass? Any suggestions?

Yes that happens to me too! About a week or so when I am pms'ing I tend to get tight for no apparent reason. I just ride it out and enjoy being able to eat less...About a week later I'm back to being chronically hungry

So I wouldn't worry too much unless you are not able to eat anything including broth Soups, Protein Shakes etc.

take care

Imagine getting a fill on Wednesday, then that time of the month hits Friday. I was doing liquids post fill, and now that is all I can tolerate. This is one of the first times where I am realizing this change in my body. I was just looking through old blogs and found several other comments on this topic. I must say it is good to see (although not the best experience) that others have this problem. Now I am just wondering should I just try and do liquids until my cycle ends?

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
