What foods are good to eat after exercising?

I'm looking to lose some weight this summer. I was just wondering what kinds of foods I should eat after running, to make sure that I'm not just gaining the weight back. I know that it's good to eat Protein after exercising, but what foods have protein or other good things in them? Has anyone had any luck with certain foods? --

I always drink a Protein shake after working out. Your body needs the Protein and the liquids so it's a good combo. After finishing the shake I usually drink a bottle of Water or some other zero calorie drink.

Occasionally I find myself craving some fruit as well so I'll eat an apple,orange or banana.

I usually am not hungry for "normal" food for at least 2 hours after a good workout though.

Definately the shake!! If you eat it within an hour of working out you burn much more calories! I agree with the fruit. Another good thing would be cottage cheese or a cheese stick.
