I don't mean that in a bad way...but I don't think guys really want to hash out PMS and periods....lol

So, on to my question. I am not banded, and am doing the lo-cal diet that we in PA have to do for 5 or 6 months before the surgery. I do FANTASTIC with it for like 3 weeks. Then the week before my period, all hell breaks loose and I am starving. I seem to have little control over it, and am always hungry. I don't necessarily crave anything in particular, I am just hungry. No. Starving.

I had lost 6 pounds. I gained that back this month. I will be able to lose it without a problem... but it's the keeping it off that is hard to do. I see the nutritionist in 3 weeks, and plan on asking her what to do. One doctor told me to walk away. Yeah. Right. He was a guy.

Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what do you do to curb it? I have tried eating small cans of veggies or a salad (because the nutritionist said I could do that- seems my metabolism was shut down until I started the program)... but I am finding it's not helping.

Any suggestions at this point would be awesome!!!!! :)

Thanks!

Okay I am not a doctor nor do I play one on TV. I though I remembered reading about a British Medical study that said during ovulation your body burned an extra 500 calories a day. This could explain why you are hungrier at that time. Again, have no medical training. I wonder if you could try something like air popped pop corn. Not the microwave kind but the kind made in the 1970's air poppers. You could spritz i with I can't believe it's not butter. That would give you volume. That's the best I got.
