Why is this happening???

Recommended Posts

I have had 3 unfills due to being too tight. I get the unfill and I feel fine for a moment and then, all of a sudden I'm too tight again. I am now experiencing this for the 4th time and it's quite frustrating. Why does the band just tighten for no apparent reason? It leaves me feeling so sick and miserable, although I haven't vomited. If anyone else has experienced this, please explain some possible reasons and/or solutions.

Not sure why.....Describe your symptoms? WHat can you eat when you feel too tight? How much is your surgeon extracting at a time?

Last night I had salad and a vegetable/barley mix, nothing out of the ordinary. It sat in my pouch uncomfortably for hours causing me to have to sit up in a chair all night. Today, I've had very few calories which isn't good because I am working out so much. I had something as simple as crackers with hummus that made me feel sick and then for dinner a small hamburger with mixed vegetables that made me feel sick as well. My NP has taken .5 cc's out, then 1 cc and I don't remember the 3rd one. I actually felt alright for the first few weeks and then all at once I am too tight again. It's unexplainable and quite frustrating to say the least.

I have found the "geometry" and "size" of what I let in my pouch determines how much I can eat. In other words, if I have a bowl of spaghetti and chop it up I can eat the entire thing without a hitch (frighteningly so). However, if I don't cut it up and simply roll some up on a fork and eat ONE (1) mouthful and I am done for about 20 minutes. It's funny, but I get headache when I'm stuck.
