Pantyhose or no Pantyhose

Recommended Posts

Ok so i need some advice. I am going clubing this weekend in Atlantic city with my friend. Well for the first time since prom (like 10 years ago) i am wearing a dress. I found this really cute black club dress. My legs are not in the best shape i mean they are getting skinny but i mean i have bad veins and they are pasty white. My mom said i should wear pantyhose but i thought now adays that pantyhose are not in style. I know a lot of 20 something girls have never even put on a pair on. I don't what to look like i am 60 wearing a pair to a club but maybe a nude pair of thigh highs just to make them look smooth and so you don't see my veins. What do you 20 something girls think. should i just throw on some self tanning and say F*** it who cares what they look like or do you like i should wear a nice nude pair of thigh highs.

I always wear pantyhose. Maybe it is because I live in Korea. Most women wear pantyhose here with short shirts, dresses, shorts etc. I think it just looks better. I hate my legs too so I either wear tights and then pantyhose socks that go up to the tights or full pantyhose

Wearing black pantyhouse with a dress is actually in style now. Some girls also wear the sheer beyonce/lady gaga pantyhouse. I do wear the black ones. At target they have some with patterns so they don't like so old fashioned.

If you can find a good pair of thigh highs I'd say go with those. Or else just lotion up really well. I hate to wear nylons so I just stick with lotion.

Even though they DO make your legs look better, personally I think they are something only a 60 year old would wear.

Yes, most of us women over 40 have a few things about our legs that pantyhose would camouflage well, but they're just not in style anymore. I wouldnt be caught dead wearing them unless it was required for work. Tights and funky ones yes, but nude ones, hmmmm, dont think so.

Formal, dressy occasions for me ALWAYS involve a spray tan (for an especially good result) and I pretty much keep my legs fake tanned anyway all year round, I just do it myself twice a week or so.

thanks everyone for your response i bought some Jenkins self tan well it is lotin that over a couple of days gives you some color and it isn't bad. I am so fair that self tanners turn me orange but this one isn't to bad because it is more a lotion then anything. I think i will skip the hose and go bare. If they don't like it then they don't have to look at my legs

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
