Mrs Beasley 0 Posted February 1, 2010 What is PBing?
NYC_gal 0 Posted February 2, 2010 I have the same problem. I get it in the middle of eating.... not even between bites, I'll eat, feel perfect, then all of a sudden it comes out of nowhere. I go from 0 to ready to throw up. Its enough to make me want to get this thing taken out.
Agnes 0 Posted February 2, 2010 My concern is that too much PBing will cause my band to slip!! def dont want that to happen!!
LeighaMason 19 Posted February 2, 2010 OK I need you to be more specific. Do you have slimeing? Do you actually throw up food or throw up slime? Does plain burping help the pain? Is it just a burp with a little something in the back of your throat? Sorry for the graphic nature but I think PBing could mean different things to different people. Burps dont help...half the time, i feel like its too stuck to burp..
ocotillo 0 Posted February 3, 2010 Hi Agnes, I was banded by Dr. Ortiz the week before you. I just had a fill a little more than a week ago and had my first PBing episode and I found out, once I've PBed, I need to way cut back on solids and eat mushies at least the rest of the day....low cal mushies. It seems, once I've PBed my band area is a lot more sensitive and everything gets stuck. Make sure you slow down, eat small bites, chew well and wait between bites. Be really conscience of how you are eating. I find waiting between bites really helps too. It takes me forever to get 4 oz of meat down now, but it works and I'm not hungry for a long time after that. I hope you find some relief and everything settles down. If you keep PBing, you need to have a small unfill. You can always go back and have more put in later.
LeighaMason 19 Posted February 3, 2010 OK my professional (haha, I am a car salesman) opinon is you may be too tight. If I were pbing more than the rare occurance I would have a .5 unfill. I would not risk a slippage just to lose weight faster. I would go with slow and steady instead of risk my band.
