TracyNYC 4 Posted January 28, 2010 I have been having bouts of green bowel movements. I keep trying to think if anything I am eating would cause it. I did add eggplant to my diet, but that was a bit before the green appeared. I googled it and it mentioned something about bile and the food passing too quickly. Which seemed odd. Any thoughts? nurseab24 0 Posted January 28, 2010 Are you drinking anything grape or purple? That's what always does the green poop to me!

TracyNYC 4 Posted January 28, 2010 Mimi, Yes, I do still have it. I hope, through the band and work, that I will avoid the Triple F that causes Gallbladder probs: Fat, Fertile and Forty!

mushsbat 1 Posted January 29, 2010 fyi..too much Iron will do that too...taking Multivitamin and eating high iron foods like Cereal etc will do it...as a teen i was freaked out by that and learned that was what caused it.
SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted January 29, 2010 Tell me more about the triple f's.. We actually call it the "Four F's" Female, Fat, Fertile, and Forty...pretty much sums up the most likely people to have gallbladder disease....overweight women who are still ovulating and approaching 40. The fat and the hormones reck havok on the poor gallbladder!
lamar44 0 Posted January 29, 2010 I'm 41, female, fertile, etc.....but I had my gallbladder out almost 15 years ago. My poop's never been the same. I've had every size, shape and color you could imagine so I've had extensive conversations with my doctors over the years regarding this, uh, colorful subject. They pretty much all agree that color is of absolutely no concern unless there is blood in the stool. The color is directly related to whatever you've ingested so the purple drink person was right on the money! Such knowledge on this forum!!!!
