I have been having bouts of green bowel movements. I keep trying to think if anything I am eating would cause it. I did add eggplant to my diet, but that was a bit before the green appeared. I googled it and it mentioned something about bile and the food passing too quickly. Which seemed odd.

Any thoughts?

Tell me more about the triple f's..

We actually call it the "Four F's" Female, Fat, Fertile, and Forty...pretty much sums up the most likely people to have gallbladder disease....overweight women who are still ovulating and approaching 40. The fat and the hormones reck havok on the poor gallbladder!

I'm 41, female, fertile, etc.....but I had my gallbladder out almost 15 years ago. My poop's never been the same. I've had every size, shape and color you could imagine so I've had extensive conversations with my doctors over the years regarding this, uh, colorful subject. They pretty much all agree that color is of absolutely no concern unless there is blood in the stool. The color is directly related to whatever you've ingested so the purple drink person was right on the money! Such knowledge on this forum!!!!

Add another "F": fair. Fair-haired, light-skinned, light-eyed females tend to be at higher risk, too :)

Fair, fat, female, and forty

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
