sndycnrd 1 Posted January 28, 2010 I am thinking about buying one of these but don't know which one to get. Are there any opinions about which is better or easier to use? Thanks.
btrieger 21 Posted January 28, 2010 I have a Bodybugg and love it. I can't give an opinion on the GoWear fit except that the same people make them both and they use the same technology. Also, I've heard that the GoWear fit is cheaper.
Dana36 0 Posted January 29, 2010 I have a gowearfit and love it. It is very user friendly, and the website is easy to navigate. It is cheaper than bodybug and that is why I chose it. I only got the armband, the wrist band will be my 100lb weight loss gift to myself!
tiffanye 0 Posted January 29, 2010 costco.com has the bodybugg on sale for 199 with 12 month subscription until the end of the month.
gnortenjones 0 Posted January 29, 2010 After doing 10 minutes of intense research, I got the gowear fit. Their basically the same device, so I'm not sure it really matters which one you get. I ended up getting the gowear fit simply because it was slightly less expensive at the time. I did have a little problem with it, and had to exchange it after 2 weeks. Since then it's been working like a charm. I personally recommend getting the display accessory as well. I didn't get it at first, and I couldn't install the software on my work computer to synch the band with the website to get my calorie count so I had to wait until I got home at night to find out. It drove me nuts not being able to know my count at any given moment. The display also lets you set "trips" so if you want to know how many calories you burn while just on the treadmill, you can set it. I do take it's numbers with a grain of salt though. I get the impression it overstates the number of steps I take (and therefore the number of calories I burn), but it does seem pretty good at destinguising between sitting, walking, and jogging. SoccerMomma73 1,867 Posted January 29, 2010 I have the gowear and am learning to love it. Seems to be fairly accurate (might over estimate my steps a little). I will just say I hated having it on at first, it drove me crazy but I am getting used to it. I have the display and highly recommend it, have discovered it encourages me to get off my duff and moving if I haven't done as much as expected during the day. It is user friendly and I've had no problems with it.
sndycnrd 1 Posted January 30, 2010 Thanks for the replies. I did some internet searches too and found them to be comparable. That is why I was asking to see if first hand information showed any differences.
jacksmom7 0 Posted January 31, 2010 i have the go wear fit. i have never used the body bugg so i can not speak to that. what i can say is i love my gowear . i wear it everyday and it is an amazing motivator and i am going to assume the body bugg is the same. when i see my calories in are too close to my calories burned i get my butt moving- i work out every day where before it was more of a once in a while kind of thing. i look for my minutes of physical activity and my goal is to exceed that everyday. Cleo's Mom 257 Posted January 31, 2010 Can someone explain to me how the go wear fit works? Do you wear an armband and a wristband. Does one measure calories in and the other out? Or maybe you can direct to to a site that explains it because I haven't been able to find one. Thanks.

Cleo's Mom 257 Posted February 1, 2010 It is an armband that measure only calories out. Here's a link to the site: How it Works Thank you. But why did one poster say she has the armband and is getting the wrist band later?
btrieger 21 Posted February 1, 2010 Thank you. But why did one poster say she has the armband and is getting the wrist band later? You always have to wear the armband. The other device shows you in real time how many calories you have burned for the day and how many steps you have taken. It is $79.99 and kind of useless unless you can't wait until you get home to download and see the data.
