Nean4488 1 Posted January 27, 2010 Tomorrow I start my 3-month diet required by my insurance... I just went shopping and bought a bunch of stuff that would fit in with my high protein/low carb diet! I just threw out everything bad that was in my fridge/freezer and filled it with healthy items! I am away at college and live in the dorms.. its going to be hard but its time for a change! Question for those that had to do a pre diet required for insurance, was it required to have proof of exercise, like proof that you went to a gym and how often? My dr didnt mention anything of this nature, are they just looking for a watched diet?
princessaktmc 1 Posted January 27, 2010 I didn't have to have documentation of exercise but every insurance is different...I had to see a dietitian and my primary doc for 6 months back to back as well as have a 5 year weight history..I couldn't miss one appt. My dietitian had me keep a food diary and exercise diary that i would give her and she would fax a copy to my doc and at the end of the 6 months my doc sent in all of the stuff i had gathered together including a psych evaluation to my insurance for approval... So no i didn't have to have documented exercise..All i had is what i gave to my dietitian.. Hope it helps...
