mominkansas 2 Posted January 25, 2010 Last night I drank some Water while in bed. I propped myself up on one arm and drank a few sips. I will say I was very thirsty so I may have been a bit tight for this reason. The water wouldn't stay down, I was almost refluxy. Has this happened to any of you? It was quite scary and I wondered what went wrong?
emjay 8 Posted January 25, 2010 I had a problem with waking up coughing about 3 hours after I went to bed, getting acid reflux. My doc recommended trying no fluids for 1 hour before bed and no food at least 3 hours before bed. It did help, but if it continues, you may need to get a very slight unfill to take care of the problem. p.s. I never drink in bed, even when I'm thirsty. I don't want a repeat of those episodes. LaDawnS 2 Posted January 25, 2010 I agree! Definately do not drink in bed! I was also told no drink for 1 hour before and no food for 3 hours before bed. It has definately helped me with the reflux in bed! It's not a fun experience, I know!!! Good luck!
corinne211 0 Posted January 25, 2010 I sleep with a wedge pillow. Seems to eliminate this problem for me.
