Thanks so much you guys for your support I raised my calories and changed the food I was eating and lost a pound just since Tuesday! I can't believe I was eating 5-800 and starving myself I guess I have 1000- 1200 as of today. I thought I was only suppost to eat 1/2 cup of food each meal, but I was wrong. This is week nine for me and I could have lost so much more had I listened before this week. Guess you have to learn from your mistakes. woooo hooooo!!!!!!:):):)

Hi skinnygirl

Congrats on your success. I am 6 days out from surgery. I would love to know what is a typical day of food for you now that you changed your eating habits. Its funny you had to up your calories to start losing weight. Whatever works is great. I am still new to this so I would appreciate any advice you can pass along. Thanks so much.

You are six days out, my dr had me on liquid for 2 weeks mushy 2 weeks then solids. Today I had 2 eggs, cheese stick which I only like one kind jalopeana and 14 light pringles. lunch 2 oz ham cheese stick 14 pringles dipped in ketchup. snack cheese 14 pringles. dinner grilled chicken cut up very small dipped in light ranch dressing, green Beans.

1040 calories and 65 Protein

The cheese helps me get my Protein. I'm very picky and it is quick.

I usually have fresh carrots or broccli dipped in ranch instead of the chips but I was out.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
