I start today too, im trying to wrap my head around this, 65 grams of Protein a day, stay under 1200 calories, and im starving, i have Protein Shakes, sugar free jello/pudding, cream of wheat, creamed Soups, trying to think of other things i can add. the guy at GNC said to take the colon cleanse, it has no calories or protein but helps you feel full, i dont see a difference yet. but its only been one day. what are you drinking ?

I am on 5 medifast shakes a day. They come in 6 different flavors and I honestly have to say they're really not so bad.. I'm almost through day 2 and i do have to say that i'm very hungry. My head has been a little fuzzy throughout the day and I definaetly dont have the energy.

I start mine Feb 6. I have a choice, either 6 Optifast shakes a day & 1 bar or 5 shakes & 2 bars, plus any SF Jello ice pops crystal light etc that I want. I think that it is funny how varied these pre-op diets are!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
