High Protein Level in my Blood Work

Recommended Posts

My regular doctor just called me today, and said I have Vitamin D deficiency as well as high Protein levels in my blood work. Is this going to be problem where my weight loss doctor will not do the surgery on me? Or are these things easily corrected even with the band?

I also have a question that doesn't have to do with blood work. What does everyone eat for lunch at work? I know now I usually go get something, but I know I will stop that once I have the surgery.

Have you been eating a lot of Beans or meat or Peanut Butter? If so, cut down on them and get your blood rechecked in a few months to make sure. Too much Protein is not good for organs and can do damage. Usually, if the protein is high, the body excretes protein through the eyes. People who wear contact lenses, will see their lenses turn yellow due to this. Concerned, but not overly worried. For further information please do consult with your medical practitioner.

Hi:

I'm not sure about the Protein in the blood, you may want to check with your surgeon on that so that you don't stress.

Low Vitamin D seems to be very common right now. Mine was so low it was off the chart and I'm always in the sun when it's warm here. My doctor put me on Vitamin D pills, which are tiny little pills, and the levels are getting better, but still low. Having a proper balance of Vitamin D will help you with your energy levels and a little bit with loosing weight. Again, check with your doctor about whether this will be a problem.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
