I blog - it's awesome! I, too, want to track my journey. Even though I started it less than a month ago, it's already entertaining to go back and read ;). You can check it out if you want - link's below!

Hey everyone! ;) I started a blog a few months ago (in wordpress) and just switched over to blogger ... it's way easier!!

I started following a bunch of people this weekend ..and I'm going to go through this thread and pick up some more.

I was banded in South Korea. My doctor said there were other foreigners banded in Korea but I never found a blog so I started mine to help other people interested in being banded while in Korea and for others who want to talk with a fellow bandster etc. So many people have contacted me since being banded.

I agree with what you're all saying. I started a blog to document my Lap-Band journey, and to share my daily experiences with everyone.

I'm currently in the pre-op diet phase, and ready to be banded on 02/04/2010.

I too have "met" many people through blogging.

Take care,

Logan

It'll be two years in April (if I recall correctly) that I started my blog. I use blogger as well. The Winding Road to Parenthood

My blog started out documenting our struggle with infertility, and now documents my WLS as a next step toward fulfilling our ultimate goal of becoming parents.

Not only will you find lots of band bloggers on the left hand column, but if you are in the IF (infertility) community, you will find many resources to help you with that struggle, including many IF bloggers, further on down the left hand column.

I am considering putting together a WLS Community gathering place for bloggers where you can go to one blog site and have access to all the different weight loss bloggers. We'll see as I know it will be lots of work and effort. Or perhaps LBT can create a dedicated forum here for everyone to list their blogs.

Anyway, blogging is a great way to document your progress, to lay out your feelings, and just connect with others who are going through the same thing you are. I know I've "met" lots of wonderful women in my IF community, and am meeting lots of great people here in the WLS community.

Oh, and also, if you don't have a reader to help you keep track of all the blogs you read, I highly suggest using Google Reader as it will let you know when the blogs you follow have updated with a new post. Google Reader - Tour

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
