mnsmith 0 Posted January 17, 2010 Well, I thought I was doing really well not getting sick. I got my 3rd fill this past Thursday and now I am up to 5 cc's. I followed the post couple day after fill requirements, but tonight I had a little chicken. Well, not good. It came back up. It was the worst feeling in the world. First it just felt like I couldn't breath and like, well it was stuck. I have had that feeling before, but walking around usually helps. Not this time. Was it the chicken? Now my upper abdomen hurts. Is this normal?
juliansmom2003 3 Posted January 17, 2010 You are probably a little swollen from getting sick. I'd stay on liquids for a little while just to let it settle. You may have eaten too fast or didn't chew enough, but it's also possible you are now at a level of restriction that your band will no longer tolerate chicken. Do you think you chewed it thoroughly? Hope you feel better.
flychica 0 Posted January 17, 2010 Its funny you mentioned the chicken...this whole time I never had issues. Then I got my 1st fill a few weeks ago, had chicken...and I guess it was too dry and yep, had my first vomiting episode. It was the worst feeling in the world! My suggestion is chill on the chicken and if you decide to go back and try it again, make sure its moist....or use a sauce. And chew very very well...be cautious. LOL.
