I'm 48 hours post first fill and in absolute heaven. I know it's likely temporary but I'm savoring every second while it lasts..and now I'm remembering why I had this surgery in the first place. I had a little Breakfast around 7, had a nice little lunch around 12:30, ate what I wanted without problem and was very satisfied, at a little dinner around 6:30. I got a teeny bit hungry around 5:00 but was driving home and had nothing to snack on so just drank my Water and was fine....this is how is should be. Just enjoying it instead of worrying how long 'til my next meal... I do realize I'll likely loosen up over the next couple days but it was so nice to have this time to revive me and remind me how it will be someday soon on a regular basis. Good luck to all of you starving before your first fill, I hope you get at least a few days of heaven like I have!

I am happy for you. I had my second fill Mon. and too am in heaven. I am satisfied with very little food and not hungry between meals. Doc. says it should last longer than the first fill. Hope he's right!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
