hunger has little to do with it

I am curious how this tool will help me overcome overeating when I do not overeat because I'm hungry? I am guessing others have dealt with this. I know I want the surgery and that it is a tool, not a miracle cure. I know I am committed to permanent lifestyle changes, but I've "known" that at the beginning of every other weight loss attempt. How have you used this tool to overcome emotional or stress or just out-of-boredom or habit eating? Thanks~Jen

A big part of it is that boredom eating is much harder. If you are determined you can do it, but it is hard to stuff an entire cheesecake into a golf ball. I still eat chips on occasion, but only about 5. After that there's no room at the inn.
