Help--boss announces to whole staff about surgery

Recommended Posts

Best wishes for tomorrow! Post when you can about how it went. We look forward to watching you be a loser!

And you know, if the food police try to give you a ticket, you say, "isn't it great that I can have this and exercise moderation with my band? I love it!"

Like Catherine (you look fantastic in those pics, by the way, Catherine!) I lost less than a pound a week, but I am getting there, and I feel great.

I marched over to her and said" I don't know why you got two divorces, couldn't you just work on it, its that simple"...Needless to say..she keeps her mouth shut now...........

Nice!! Sometimes I wish I could think of things to remark off the bat like that.

Well sometimes I do I just don't say it. So it take some wit and guts. Good for you!

I am so upset for you! That was wrong ... but I think what others have said is probably the case. His not thinking, plus, I'm guessing, a wee bit of jealousy.

On the other hand, you can't change it, and staying angry about it is not going to help. Just use the motivation to rock your program!

FYI, a teacher at my child's school had WLS. She was very overweight for a long time, lost all the weight pretty quickly and has kept it off now for 2 years. Everyone has pretty much guessed. The only thing that I have heard, though, is how great she looks and 'more power to her.' She is a lovely teacher and we're all happy for her. In fact, she inspired me over this past year to look into WLS. Seeing how much she has changed her life, however she's done it, is absolutely inspiring. I would actually hate to think she is spending all her days now miserably starving trying to desperately keep the weight off. I'm happy she has had a way to lose all the weight and still live her life!

I think what he did was wrong Idiot or not. Surley a HIPPA violation. You ll be fine, its unfortunate that the CAT can't be put back in the bag. I only told a few co workers and told my boss she was free to disscuss after my surgery ONLY. I did nt want to disscuss or hear everybodys opinion before my surgery. My thoughts now I don't care what they think ! I am a big girl and it was my decision. I guess my thing was protecting my privacy before surgery.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
