I hope your doc can give you some answers. Try not to compare yourself to others though. This is your personal journey and you will have your own bumps and victories. Some of us will be up while others are down. Thats why we are all here to support each other. Sorry you feel disappointed so far. You are doing a good thing by keeping that food journal. After that fill it may be you on here next week so excited about your weightloss. Keep at it.

Hang in there, Tiffany. Many of us have experienced the roller coaster of losing, not losing, doing everything right and scales still not moving.....

I am the kind of person that wants everything now, but I have to remind myself sometimes that I didn't get this way overnight, so it will take some time to shrink back down.

I agree with Jewel that it's a good thing keeping a journal. If I didn't do that, I honestly think it would have prevented me from losing up until this point (I haven't had a fill yet).

Hang in there. We will have our ups and downs, but overall, you are going to look back 6 months from now and feel so proud you stuck it out because you were so successful!!! :-)

How long has it been since your surgery or last fill? It's hard to be patient. It took me a long time to see any weight loss. Like the first 3-4 months just to get 25 lbs or so and I was sooooo anxious and felt out of control. Like oh great my last resort, drastic expensive time consuming surgery and this is it? Then I continued with my fills and restriction kicked in. I was banded in Feb and my the end of Sept was down almost 60 lbs..woo hoo.. enough to now feel like I could get to the gym. I am glad to say I'm now down 85 lbs..yes wish it was more but I'll take it and I can see the light. Hang in there and follow your dr's orders. Good Luck!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
