ElfiePoo 109 Posted January 9, 2010 I'm going through carb withdrawal today and as a result have these rather odd thoughts. Has anyone seen the movie 'Christmas Story' where the kid sticks his tongue to the flag pole and starts screaming "Stuck...stuck..."? Well everytime I get 'stuck' that visual pops into my head only it's me yelling "stuck...stuck...?" Ok...off to start dinner. .

TracyNYC 4 Posted January 10, 2010 LOL- I have been able to eat Melba toast and whole whet wraps. I use the pizza cutter and have 1/2 a wrap as a sandwich a few times a week. That usually is carby enough. I would kill for a bagel though. I am in NYC so a NY bagel just might be worth getting "stuck, stUCK, STUCK" for...LOL
Cocoabean 430 Posted January 10, 2010 I have had bagel aversion therapy thanks to my band! Try slamming one down...go through the stuck, stuCK, STUCK line thanks to ElfiePoo. You won't want a bagel again for a LOOONG time! Denise

You won't want a bagel again for a LOOONG time! Denise I won't even try a bagel. I make homemade french bread and I thought I was going to die. You can't chew it enough or take small enough bites for that one to go down. .

No matter how much you chew, I think soft breads reform once in the pouch to a consistency of play-dough and become a very effective cork. I even urped one up in the shape of a cork once! eeewwww...sorry for the visual, but it's true! Denise
