looking2improve 0 Posted January 9, 2010 I had my lapband surgery in May of 2009. I lost 35 lbs. prior to surgery, and 26 lbs. after surgery. I've had a total of 5/6 lapband fills. But I am having alot of concerns about progress with my weight loss, along with eating issues. Would love to have someone to connect with that I could get feedback concerning issues with the lapband procedure.

take charge time 0 Posted January 11, 2010 hi, i had LAP-BAND® surgery on july 31st 2009, lost 12 pounds before and around 27-36 after, and i feel like i lost focus or something, i need help and encouragement to get back on track, i havent had any fills yet, because i have been so sick and i started feeling better last month, im in desperate need for a fill or two, but i cant cause i dont have insurance right now and im not paying out of pocket ugh. what are the concerns? I noticed your post and I know that until you get a fill you have minimal restriction. I am not sure where you got your surgery but fills cost on average 100.00 and more if done under fluoroscopy. I had my surgery in Tijuana and i am going for my first fill back to Tijuana as they do it under fluoroscopy and i am hoping to get it right the first time. The cost to me is 100.00. There should be a doctor in your area that does fills if not your own. It appears you have done well in the loss department so far but I would recommend a fill to give yourself restriction and continue the journey. I would even be willing to lend you the cost of a fill if it would help. I am a Canadian on the west coast but I know we need to support each other. Feel free to mail me for any advice or help I can give. Good luck and hang in there!
