Conservative VS Liberal

Wake up people there are idiots on both sides of the spectrum. Am I a lib No do I hate them NO. I may not agree with there policies but I do not incite violence from either side or agree in it. I just find it funny how people try to have debates on issues and people in these threads try an act as if they are above the other side and yet call them Tea Baggers? Seriously can't we all be adults? So some of the Tea party members are idiots. But so are some dems and reps. Does that make them all bad people? Putting down a whole group because a few bad apples is just as bad as being racist.

I will do some additional research to find the picture of the old tea partier wearing the "Proud to be a Teabagger" button next to his "I love Jesus" key chain. If there were buttons, they were being sold. Someone had to order them. I posted it before. I'm not sure on what thread.

They brought on that name themselves and are now trying to backpedal. Sorry, the toothpaste is already out of the tube.

PG,

Did you post the attacks that occured at the Rethuglicans congress peoples homes? These are all public forum activities you post. Did anyone go to a congress persons home or did they primarily hit public forums with this garbage?

What's the difference? violence is violence no matter where it is performed. Stop trying to "lighten" what they did there. It was JUST as horrific.

But honestly, showing these photos above really doesn't in any reasonable way, excuse the behavior of the wackos exhibiting violence against the legislation, the legislators or the president, now does it?

No, it doesn't excuse it. And I never said it should. People who react to their anger in a violent way should be punished for their actions. My point was mostly toward you and cleo's because the 2 of you constantly group together the tea partiers with the violence of the few who can't behave themselves as if that's the mentality of ALL of them, and it's not! Just like I'm sure that the liberals who were violently protesting in the posts I posted do not represent ALL liberals in that party. Fair is fair.

Now, will everyone quit telling us to stop using that term? It's what they are proud to be.

patty I do not know Cleo's. We are not in cahoots. We post some of the same thoughts for a reason. And it isn't because we have some kind of conspiracy to make right wing extremists look stupid or crazy.

Just like on your side of the spectrum, there are people who say some of the same things you say. Doesn't mean you're in a conspiracy to further your agenda.

This was in the Rants and Raves section of our local newspaper on 03/22/2010 (yes 2010)

So does this mean I will be paying for all the Illegals and African/Americans who don't have insurance? What about me - who is going to pay for my insurance? This is the most worthless president we have ever had - Can't even prove where he was born. I think one way I will benefit is to denounce my citizenship and become an illegal - it's much better for them.

And tea bag demonstrators are lumped in together because they march and demonstrate together. The fact that the Republicans and Limbaugh and O'Reilly and Beck and others have helped to incite the tea bagging behavior and before all the criticism happened, they said the tea baggers were doing the right thing, is proof that they deserve to be lumped together. Just because all of a sudden they're saying people shouldn't be violent carries no weight with me. They incited this behavior and they LIKE it. Nobody in her right mind would excuse them for it at this point. And some of the major players in the Republican party endorsed the behavior of the tea baggers, the deathers, etc., also indicate that they deserve to be lumped in with them.

As for these pictures and claims that you've made about concrete being dropped on Republicans and all that is a mystery because we don't know anything about them - who they are and what organization backed them financially and encouraged them to do that is a mystery.

Just posting pictures isn't very impressive without data regarding the organization behind the demonstration.

Leigha the basic lack of knowledge and brain power of the individual who wrote that is stunning.

It also shows how ignorant people are about the illegal alien problem in our country. The Republicans got everyone all up in arms about it when they needed something to take the heat off another of their dirty deeds. At the time you would have thought that the problem just sprung up in the past couple of years.

Do you remember when a news organization sought out republican congressmen outside of congress and just asked them to say YES or NO if they believed Obama was born in the U.S.

Only one of about 10 would say yes. The rest ran away and wouldn't comment. My stupid congressman held himself up in the capital bookstore pretending to look at a book for 20 minutes. He finally had to write a letter to the editor of our paper explaining his bizzare behavior and after a long, rambling letter conceded that Pres. Obama was born in the U.S. In, other words, he had to do damage control. But say it on camera when he had the chance? Perish the thought!!

And these are the republican politicians that people want to elect more of? :)

PG,

I will ask yet again. Show me this level of violence on the liberal side. I stated earlier, this has gone beyond simple protest and calling people slurs. Wacko's have went to congress peoples homes and acted up. Whole nother mental ball park...........Not all tea baggers are crazy or racist, but it sure don't help its cause that rethuglican rule doesn't disavow themselves from it.

John McCain is the king of the tea baggers says Sarah Palin.

I bet McCain had to wear a diaper that day. Bout crapped his pants when she said it. Elbow from the sky!!

I just heard some head honcho teabagger "king" today say that they don't like mccain. He called mccain a liberal and RINO. He also said he doesn't want the republican party taking over the tea party, he wants the tea party taking over the republican party. Be my guest, is what I say.

The midterm elections are going to be interesting. The teabaggers want to take over the rethuglican party?? Lets hope not this election. I want a clear distinction between teabaggers, the rethuglicans and the Demos. They can do it later but we can only pray. It will be cold in that wilderness when the american people vote crazy. I also heard that the biggest mistake the rethugs made was they were not true to being fiscally conservative and not getting back to small core values. Those small core value people are the teabaggers, on the extreme right. If the rethugs want to continue to run to the extreme right, be my guest. That will leave more people in the center for us. Cause the independants darn sure aren't going to follow the teabaggers into anything. They darn sure aren't going to vote for them after the bogus crap happening to the congress people. Never side with the crazies or appearance of crazy. I think John mccain just made the biggest mistake of his life when he didn't tell Palin, the retard, not to hang the teabagger mantle around his neck. Politics just went to a whole nother level. Top row elbow.

Did you read my other post where I revealed that the teabagger blogger who encouraged the bricks through the windows sits at home and collects his government disability checks. Didn't someone on here post that we should look into those who get disability checks as a way of saving money?

I suggested that we start with john mccain who receives disability and then move on to this guy.

BTW, this guy's name is: Mike Vanderbeogh, 57.

I was absolutely floored when I heard about that. This yahoo gets "socialized" help from the government and has the nerve to be against the healthcare plan? WOW. Just goes to show retards will vote against their interest every time.

Just on a side note. Since he hates socialized help lets relieve him of his SS. Walk right into his bank and freeze his bank account with socialized funds, stop the checks if they are coming in the mail of socialized funds. Then lets see how far he'd be willing to take this fight.

People protested against the civil rights bill, medicaid and SS also when they came out and look how those turned out to be staples of this nation. Some of these yahoo don't even know whats in the bill. They have wastes of space like Beck, Haniity and Limbaugh to guide them with misleading info. It is sad that we have such ignorance. Doublely sad since there is the Intenet and other sources of news to hear the truth.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
