Christie Lynn 0 Posted January 8, 2010 Hello, My name is Christie. I am new to this blog site. I am post op day 4, and I can tell you the pain is bearable and I feel really good. My face looks like I have lost some weight, but I will have to buy a scale to be sure. This is like having a new bike. So exciting, yet very scary.:tt1:

JFerrara 0 Posted January 8, 2010 Hey! I'm four days post op too :tt1:. I'm feeling good for the most part, some lingering gas pains. How are you guys doin? Where were you banded at?
JeweI 2 Posted January 8, 2010 I was banded in Northeast Florida. In Jacksonville Memorial hospital. The people there were wonderful. The hours leading up to it seemed forever but once I woke up I was ready to walk out of there. One nurse laughed when I told her I was ready to go home but 30 mins later I was out of there. My husband gets quezzy in hospitals so I tried to get him out before he got sick. What a man.

Christie Lynn 0 Posted January 9, 2010 I was banded in Illinois by the Kane center. Dr. Kane was one of the founding fathers of the gastric bypass. They have a n excellent program located in Hoffman Estates, IL. The hospital linked with this surgery is Alexian Brothers Health Systems. They specialized a entire floor unit to bariatric patients. Could not have asked for better care.
Christie Lynn 0 Posted January 9, 2010 Thank you so much! I am so happy and excited about how I will look in about 2 years. I really never had the conception of what it is like to be skinny, since I have been heavy all of my life.
