kkarryall 0 Posted January 7, 2010 Eating around the band means eating "slider foods" or foods that go down real easily...even when you have restriction. These foods are different for different people. But....for a lot of people, these might include ice cream, chocolate, chips, etc. IN order to avoid this, you can go to therapy to figure out why you might over eat, and just use willpower...which is hard, I know!!! thebandedgirl 0 Posted January 7, 2010 Like kkarryll said, it's possible to eat "slider" foods that slip through the band easily. It's also possible to eat frequently. When you're banded, you can eat a cup of food, wait an hour, eat another cup of food, wait another hour.... Combine this with high-calorie foods, and you're setting yourself up for failure.
