Newbie! Getting banded Thursday

Hi All! I'm new to this site. I am a 40 yr old mom of 2. Getting banded 1/7/10. I am on liquids now. Harder than expected. I am excited about my new journey. Hope it all goes well. My main reasons for getting banded are to decrease the pain I have daily from being overweight (neck, shoulders, back) and so I can play w/ my kids more. I hope to have more energy and not be embarassed to run, play, swim etc. Need to lose at least 71 lbs. I have lost 9.5 on liquids so far. Hope to make it a few more down before surgery. Need all the motivation and encouragement I can get. Thanks!

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
