No Foolin - Its an April Fool's day Challenge

Recommended Posts

So, we are all banded and started a New Year, a New Decade and on the way to our somewhat 'new' and improved selves.

To keep us all motivated and moving in the right direction (down on the scale) thought I'd throw out a challenge.

Now we already have a Valentine's Day challenge going and that is just 6 shorts weeks a way! so let's keep it rolling.

I'm going to try for 40lbs, yes I know its a lot but me and Mr. Treadmill/Stationary Bike were reintroduced this week and well I believe I've started a love affair.

I want to be in this challenge because it fits right in with my plans. I want to be at goal when I go visit my Mom for her 76th Birthday on April 6th. The last 20 pounds seem to be the most difficult which is where I am at so I really need a cheering section everyone. I really want to be at goal by then.

I am SO in on this Tina, because my birthday is April 2. I would really like to get below 200 by then, but that might be too much, as it's only 13 weeks away. At 2 pounds a week, 26 pounds would be average, so I'll sign up for 30 pounds (and secretly hope I do much better).

BTW : The Valentine's challenge was picked up by LollyMoe and is now on the main forum, for people who still want to shoot for that goal. No sense in doubling efforts!

Best of luck to ALL of us!

I'm going to wait to join this challenge until after the Valentine's Day challenge is over. That's my first goal, and I want to wait until then to see how I've done before setting my next mini-goal. I know what my ultimate goal is, but I want to be careful of setting my mini-goals so that they are realistic and achievable, but that they go along with where I actually am, if that makes sense.

I signed up! I am going to push myself as hard as I can. I am supposed to get a fill soon (first one) and I assume after that I will stop dropping the weight better than before. Good luck ladies, I know you can do it!!

I'd love to lose 30 lbs by April 1st. I don't know if that's going to be doable, but that's what I'm going for. That would get me under 300 for the first time in 15 years.

I joined the Easter Challenge, forgetting that the April Fool's challenge was here. However, I'll set the same goal.

230 pounds

That's where I want to be come April 4. I'm currently 249.6 (actually as of this morning I was 248.6) but I use the weight I am on Mondays as my official weight.

So 19.6 pounds.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
