Happy New Years Continue Your Journey

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone we have made through another year I ended the year with a gain of 1.5 lbs that put me at 208 lbs. Now that the holidays are over I have to work on one that. Congrats to those of you who reached their goals, mini goals and the big ONEDERLAND. Happy New Years to you all. I have a lot to be thankful for. I am living and breathing, I can get up and exercise, I CAN LOSE THE WEIGHT I always wanted to lose; Thanks to my assistant THE BAND. I feel good, my health have improved. I don't have high blood pressure, high blood sugar, or high cholesterol. I can walk up the stairs without getting tired. I can ride in the car without my back being in extreme pain. This year I will feel even better, if The Lord say the same. I hope you all have a positive new year and I want to leave this thought with you. Do Unto Others As You Have Them Do Unto You. Think Positive Don't Give Up. Last but not lease you are only a failure if you give up. So remember if you fall just get up and start again. This road is not alway easy. You WILL have stumbling blocks. But you are stronger and you can make your way through those blocks. Thank you for reading my blog and will be looking to read more of yours. Until next time. Please share my page.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
