tanyadee 0 Posted December 30, 2009 OK...this is the deal....i just got banded on 12/17/09 and I am doing fine except for the pain that I am having around the top portion of my incision where the port is...the pain is located just below my left breast right under my rid cage....it only hurts when I sit/lay down...I can really pinpoint the location with my finger....WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON????? I thought it was gas but I know the feeling of gas and this is not it...HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THIS FEELING????
NCIS 0 Posted December 30, 2009 Hi there - I think I know what you are talking about and I had some soreness as well but now I think it's more of not knowing and wanting to be careful nothing is wrong. I did take pepcid AC at first and that seemed to help. I read A LOT on this site and really leaned on it for the support. I swear it's the best support ever! I went through a lot of what bandsters have posted and am glad there were some common complaints. I also had soreness in my left shoulder up until about August or September ( I was banded in Feb) and it's gone..and Hair loss has slowed down-back to normal-so a lot of this takes time. Just getting used to the band in your body. Keep up with your doctor's appts, ask him/her questions and follow their advice. Good luck and hang in there. Thanks...I do take gas-x strips and that definitely takes away the gas but I still have that pain just above my incision...I go to my follow up appt. w/ dr on 1/11 and I can't wait to see what is wrong...(if anything is wrong) I have gotton some real good advice from this message board. When I first started to experience gas, my drs. office stated that I needed to get some tums...that did not work for me, I've found that the strips work much, much better...thanks anyway, I'll keep you posted on what the deal is once I go to my dr.
