I meet with the surgeon tomorrow. So far I've been really impressed with his office staff. They've been prompt and very courteous.

I've filled out a ton of questionaires (sp?), have already requested all the required medical records, and hope they've been faxed when I get there.

I have a sleep study this Friday (10/28/05). I have restless leg w/periodic limb movement disorder, and they want to re-check me for apnea. I had minimal apnea 6 years & many pounds ago.

I have an appointment with a nutritionist on Tuesday (11/01/05).

I guess the big ones left are endoscopy & a visit to the shrink, but 3 appointments in the next 8 days is enough to do me for this week. I'll look into scheduling the rest of it after I see the doctor tomorrow.

I'm sure I'm dreaming, but it would be so awesome to walk out of there tomorrow with a surgery date! smile.gif

Thats great, you'll have a date before you know it. Just get those other appoinments out of the way and they will have no reason not to send to insurance...then you get a date quick usually.

Last night at Girl Scouts I was hidding out in the kitchen, because I couldn't eat....that sounds weird...but basically volunteered to help serve because I couldn't eat...any way.... Was talking about the lapband and another lady there said she was a former patient of Dr. V and was seeing the doctor he refered her to...oh can't remember the name. But anyhow...just goes to show...its a small darn world. I told her about lapband talk and about our group, don't know if she will join us, but I hope so.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
