Why is this happening 2 me? Why is this so complicated? Im watching what i eat then when i eat what im suppose 2 no weight loss but when i bend n try a little something 1-3 lbs come off. :-( now 2day i weigh myself n the weight went up. Im so freaking frustrated with the choices im making n i dnt know what 2 do. Did i make the wrong decision getting this band? Is there anyone out there that can help me? This happens to many of us. Maybe you can try journaling your food intake to see what is actually coming and what is your exercise routine like.

Its hard to tell, how often do you weigh yourself. If its often, I would stop getting on the scale, especially if the numbers are messing with your head. You could be losing in inches, rather than in weight.

Also, I'm not sure when you had your surgery...but they do say you slow, if not stop once you start introducing regular foods back in your diet. On top of getting the fill, you just have to understand that its not going to totally take that hunger feeling away.

And as someone else mentioned, maybe doing the food journal to really see what your eating. I think I read on here...someone said its about the amount of calories your intaking compared to the amount your using. Basically you have to have a certain amount a day to maintain your current weight.

Its confusing, I know...and frustrating because you have no idea what way to go. Best bet...is maybe to talk to the doctor or place you did the surgery with. See what they suggest. Its a work in progress.....

Yeah, stop weighing every day. I wasn't weighing myself everyday...mainly because I didn't have a scale but now I do thanks to someone getting one for Christmas. LOL. I understand how hard it is, at first......as soon as I woke up in the morning and used the restroom I'd weigh myself......now I've kind of stopped.

Just doing my best not to get caught up in the numbers, even though thats the biggest thing for us........seeing the results. Try to just weigh in like once a week, I've been doing mine on Saturday mornings.

I will admit, I've been eating kind of what I want...no fast food or sodas, or overdoing the bread intake. I just wanted to make sure I give myself that opportunity to enjoy the holidays. No pressure. Mainly, maintaining the weight...rather than losing at this point and then after the first of the year...focus on really losing.

Don't beat yourself up...can't figure it out overnight and you will learn.

Yeah, your only about a week behind me...see what the doctor suggests, etc.

Some of the ladies at my job have had the surgery too and suggested literally taking a 1/2 cup or 1 cup measuring cup and measuring out their food to control the portions their eating. I haven't gone there yet....but I'm sure its in my future if things stall and its really time for me to change it up.

Right now, since I'm taking in less calories...its burning up. But I'm losing maybe 1-2lbs a week if I'm lucky. I go on Tuesday for my first fill.

I try and eat about 3/4 to 1 Cup of food at a meal. Ive been journaling my calories cause I fear Ill start eating more and more. Im only 2 weeks out, but I have really slowed down on the losing. Of course its been the holidays. Im eating about 700 -900 calories a day including the Protein calories.

A food journal is a very good idea. Sometimes we get it into our heads that we didn't eat much on a certain day when we've actually just grazed all day and the calories add up whether you sit down for 3 meals or eating standing up throughout the day.

Also, try not to weigh yourself more than once a week. If you weigh yourself every day, your weight can go up and down by several pounds like a yoyo. Don't let that scale become your enemy. I'll bet you 'feel' like you're losing weight even though the scale isn't saying so.

This is a journey. We didn't put this weight on in a few days and it's going to take more than a few days to take it off. If you're doing everything right, then the weight will come off. Just have patience .

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
