Guest Alpacagal Posted October 23, 2005 Hello everyone, I just had my surgery done October 18th by Dr. Michael Snyder in Colorado. I'm still trying to figure out what is too much or too little. The evenings are the worst, that's when I want to snack. I'm pretty motivated and have lost 8 lbs already. My beginning weight was 248 at 5'5". We just got a treadmill and got it set up, so tomorrow I'm going to get started on the exercise. One thing that I'm not sure about is air bubbles. I'd say burps, but they are much smaller than that. The air bubbles kind of hurt and I don't know if they are an indication that I've had too much intake or what else may be causing it. Any suggestions? I'm exciting for the future! live2canoe 1 Posted October 24, 2005 Congratulations on being banded and welcome to our little forum. I think you'll find by reading posts here that many of still have trouble with evening snacking. Since you have no fill yet it is perfectly normal to feel hungry. With no fill, everything should be passing right through your band. If nothing hurts when you eat, you should be fine. The same advice goes for the treadmill - if it doesn't hurt, you should be OK. Take it easy at first. You're only one week out of surgery. Many of us have that bubbling gurgling sensation. We have lots of different theories on what causes it. For some people it is quite loud. You may be taking too big a bite or not chewing well enough. It's hard to say. Good Luck and please check in often.
nickie456 0 Posted October 26, 2005 Welcome to bandland. Take it easy on the treadmill your only a week out. I would think that the burping could be from where they blow you up during surgery.
Anwyn 0 Posted October 31, 2005 Congratulations on your surgery! I find that walking around really helps when I have a burp "brewing".

deenae53964 0 Posted November 11, 2005 My nutritionist mentioned the constant gurgling sounds. If you think about it...when all you have going into your stomach is liquid, and it's sloshing around in there, that's probably the noises. I'm sure the sloshing is making some air bubbles, too. This too shall pass as you get to add more solidified foods into your diet. Hope this helps!
