  1. Hi I have been banded for 5 years as of July 1 I love my band I had a major skip and it moved so now Tuesday I’m having it repaired. Dr says 2 days recovery I am wondering if anyone else had it repaired and repositioned and what was the recovery and is the diet the same as surgery. I have a major work function on Thursday and wondering if I can make it o get I won’t be able to eat but wondering what else I can or cannot do. Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated
  2. Hi everyone! This is my first post or topic, though I've come to really rely on the advice and encouragement I find here. What a wonderful community. My question- or rather my worry- is this: I've barely lost any weight in the last 2 weeks, even though I'm only 4 weeks post op. My first week I lost about 10 lbs., but I wasn't really able to eat or drink much after all the medications. Once they were out of my system, I felt so much better! Over the next 2 weeks, I lost about 6 lbs., but nothing in the last week. The scale just sits and stares at me. Other than that, I'm doing really well- exercising, drinking lots of Water, trying to get enough Protein. I will say that I did not stay on the liquid diet after the first 2 weeks and have moved onto to almost any soft(ish) food, usually high in protein. I can eat chicken, turkey, yogurt, hummus, even vegetables.... almost anything with no problems. Small bites, chew-chew-chew and stop when you feel full. Even though I'm eating such small amounts, the WEIGHT-- it stays!! Is this normal? Will it start to fall off? Are there other people who did well off the liquid/pureed diet or did it bite them in the butt??
  3. So, I had my revision from band to sleeve on January 14th. Surgery went well, went home the next day. Normal recovery. From the start of my pre-op diet until now I have lost about 20 pounds. But for the last week and a half, I have lost NOTHING. This seems so early for a stall. About a week ago after a few days of no loss I started logging my food on My Fitness Pal. At first I was only getting between 500-600 calories. So I figured maybe I was getting too few calories, and made an effort to get to 800. So I've been at 800 calories for about a week. I should mention I am still on full liquids. I don't start purees until this coming Monday. My sodium, carbs, fat, and sugar are all nice and low. I'm getting enough Water. I walk 30 minutes a day. Has anyone else had this? Do I just wait it out? I guess that's all I can do. Any advice besides be patient?
