One of Tomkitten, my son's favorite all-time videos is "It's Raining Men" by Martha Wash and the Cancelled. He was playing,it off of You Tube, turned to me and said Those, ladies really could benefit from Bariatric Intervention. Yes, he inherited my,❤of BIG words. And truly, at the time they made that video, they could. Several of them looked at risk for cardiac complications. So as first nominees I vote for them. Number 2 would be Kim Jung Un , he is an un- happy fat little dude. and perhaps surgery, would make him a smaller happier person. WHO do YOU feel would benefit MOST?

On what I would, call my Frust8 homepage -on Beta I am given no credit for number of previous postings, I have no ranking whereas at one time I was a Guru In Training, I have no followers , nor am I following anything. I know I have many postings under both names, but no credit? The only credit I seem to have is at sitting, like an inert lump, on here. Granted I might not have beaucoup incidents of helping someone, but I do try! Also what gives with that bar that gives super-sized emoji?

I was peacefully re'setting up My Fitness Pal this AM when my son brought in our mail. Those of you who have been following my progress toward my RnY surgery know my path has had ups and downs, twists and hairpin turns like an amusement park roller coaster. The mail contained a bill from the psychological center I had,an evaluation at last December. Yes the self-same one that stabbed me in the back. I went there, they were an independent consulting place not part of former hospital and its bariatric center. Went in there, cheerfully naive about those people. Mamma always taught me that if you were nice to people, they are always nice back. I asked my son, of adult age, to accompany me. Since the deaths of his brother in 2008 and his father in 2012 we routinely attend each other's appointments. Also, I had never been to this place before, I may not show it on Bariatric Pal, but in real life I am rather shy. So you could also call my son my "security blanket." Completed partially on tablet, partially verbally 300+ questions, varying from " have you ever hurt an animal?" through " did you hate your parents & which one more" to "have you always had a satisfying sex life?" Yeah things I could see no relationship to bariatric surgery, but I still answered all of them to the best of my ability and factually. At the end of this session, the female psychologist shook my hand, told me everything was perfect, I had passed all facets properally, shook my hand and wished me Well with my future. Surgery. My son remembers everything as I do. Even remarked after we,left Mom, you did great! Aren't you glad that's over?" So I continued with the rest of my prerequirements, finished them the 16th of January and waited to be notified of my surgery date. I was notified on February 20th I had not passed this psych eval., she stated I was psychologically and emotionally unstable and lacked the mental capabilities to understand bariatric surgery. So this surgeon and his 2 partners declined to perform surgery based on this. Today I received a bill from these people. after insurance they feel I should send them cash money. Why should I pay this group of 2 faced double dealers a penny of my Social Security? They have been paid already by insurance, had I been as sneaky as them I would have instucted insurance not to. It is a smallish amount of money but it is the principle of the thing! What do YOU think?

The above statement is the brainchild of Bill Engvall,of Blue Collar Comedy Tour. It stand for something so obvious that this is,a correct answer. One that comes to mind Pilot standing next,to a,one-seat jet plane dressed in full regalia. Mechanic, walks up,to the pilot and says" Are you going to fly, the, plane? Pilot: No I'm going to a costume party and I'm,standing here until they, pick me up There's Your sign! Okay,a story from my own family. Cousin Amanda,i s going to have ambulatory, surgery at local hospital. Amanda,is lying,on a gurney in the surgery waiting room, she is in hospital gown, blanket, over, her and an IV started. My cousin , her husband Brendan is sitting next to the bed, holding her good hand. Brendan is on my Daddy s side so he looks nothing like me. The person,he most resembles is Judge Ito of the OJ trial , even had a neatly trimmed goatee. Brendan is one,of the few cousins on that side I can stand, maybe because,he' s only a second cousin and turned out okay. Those of you who have followed my stories know what I think,of my boy first cousins on that side, most need garroting. Relatives on that side didn't like me because I don't resemble them. The majority are brunette and black hair, I'm tall, fair and have strawberry blonde hair & what was worse- the first child born after parents were married more than 9 months. Thought there might be a slight irregularity in my branch,of the family tree. They wanted to worry about that, take good look at Brendan , unless he's a throwback to the Native American blood nobody, admits to, his mama had an oriental friend, Irish name not withstanding. Anesthesiologist walks into, the area looking,at his clipboard instead of looking up,finally looks at Amanda on the bed in a gown, and Brendan sitting next,to her fully dressed and says " And who will be having surgery this morning?" There's Your Sign!

I will spare you on the details but man what a night I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy! I am 4 weeks PO today from VSG revision. From about 11:30pm until about 4:30am, I was up every 5 to 10 minutes....I KID YOU NOT pissing out of my @ss. I am waiting for word from my surgeon's office in the mean time but I feel like I got hit by a truck. I suspect it's gastroenteritis because my husband is home sick passed out on the couch right now with similar symtoms. He had it all day yesterday. I know I need my nutrients to get back everything I lost but I can't even try to look at the blandest of the bland broth right now (baiatric pal protein chicken broth and beef broth). I have tolerated my vitamins and water but that's the limit. So I sit and and wait but I have a unrelated dr. appt in 45 mins I have to be at. Just gonna sip as much water as I can in the meantime! Perhaps pedialyte juice? Any suggestions?

I have thought about doing Ancestry.com, 23 and Me, that sort of thing. Maybe it would be interesting to find out if my ethnic heritage is what my family has always told me. But one of my friends said it is a very bad idea, once they have your genetics on file there could be repercussions or it could be used against you by government, insurances, you might find out the man who raised you is not your biological father. One lady on Megan Kelley found out her mother was really black, she had turned her back on her family, her heritage and passed as white. Is sending a testube and swab of saliva going to really open a can of worms I won't be able to control?

false Last minute pre surgery worries?
Frustr8 posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Alas as I sit here and wait for my "call up" to active duty in the BARIATRIC WARS I have time to listen and ponder many things. One hmnn thing: the little last minute worries we come up with. One lady was concerned they would be removing her patient gown in the operating room, not for modesty sake, although that still might have some bearing, she was concerned she would be cold and her surgery would be postponed because of goosebumps. Another was concerned she might start talking about past boyfriends or confess petty thievery while semi-awake. Although I am not overly thrilled that 6-10 more people in Columbus will know whether I am a natural redhead or not, the fact they are going to make 5-7 holes in my tummy like a. demented woodpecker on speed, I'll even put up will that to have my surgery done. Do you have any silly or irrational fears about your surgery? it's okay, you're among friends here -
I need structuralizing my diet for a month, I just spelled it out and it must have been too because this Beta update Would not allow me to post it.So I'll abbreviate it in the hopes of getting this topic posted. Frustr8 posted a topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
I just got a new tablet, thought it would be nice to download some fitness apps. There is no sign of Bariatric Pal on Google Play Store. Are you now only on full size computers and smartphones like Android and 🍎? Please tell us, okay? -
While scrolling through past postings I noticed there is" Guys who started over 400lbs" in the Guys Room. Well I believe if there is" gravy for the 🐔rooster" there certainly should be "gravy for the🐔 hen " especially those of us with meatier🍗 drumsticks. Are there challenges we face that aren't faced by our 200 lb sisters? Do we tend to lose weight faster or slower than smaller🐣 flock members? Weigh in my sisters, weigh in!

false Just Another Facet of Weight Loss?
Frustr8 posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My urologist has told me after my WLS (i am a future RnY) I will have a lessening of my problems. In addition to the UTIs we females are more likely to have because of the way we are structured, I have bladder spasms, nocturia and mild incontinence from not moving fast enough to beat the urge heading to the lovely porcelain throne. Will any of these truly get better or is Dr Clemens just another of my "Go get your surgery Frustr8 Boosters. I do adore him as a Doctor, well as much as one can adore someone whose firework consists of tweaking with my plumbing.😪💦 -
I was told post my surgery I would be on Lovenox injections. on all my other surgeries I was given Xerelto pills. Are these shots really better than my pills?. I have no problem giving or receiving shots, it. just seems rather fussy for the results. How long were you on blood thinners?. I have a history of lymphedema and lower leg venous stasis if that is relevant. Thank you in advance😌

Well I decided to be atypical today. Many people have ham or lamb but I decided to make bean soup with Turkey Ham in my 6 quart crockpot. Untill I reread it , it said Crackpot, maybe that's close to the truth. Just Tomkitten and me, doubt we'll hear from R.D., if I call her she'll pretend to be super- busy and claim she has no time to talk. If that's the game she wants to play, Okay, she was 50 years old in January, too late to reform her thinking. When I tripped and fell in the parking lot at JFS, T9mkitten couldn't ride along in the squad, so her called her so I wouldn't be alone at the hospital.Been several months since I had seen here, she walked in and OMG I scarcely recognized her. She had on a raggedy old sweatsuit her dad would have used for car cleaning rags, her hair, she must take after Late Lamented,Well I well. mostly gray now in l8ght brown hair. Rather muddy- looking. But I'm a class act, I can pretend to be happy to see her in front of people if necessary. But isn't it sad for a m9other not to be able to recognize
