Hi, Is anyone doing Atkins post-op? I find I've done a lot better on a high-Protein, low-carb eating plan than anything else. If so, what kind of modifications have you made? What Atkins friendly foods have you had trouble with? My doctor prescribed antacid for 2 months post-op...Does anyone know if this is on an as-needed basis or meant to be taken daily? Thanks in advance!

Intro (Frm Detroit/chicago) --Meetup? Fill Recommendations?
losangelesislovely posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was banded 2 days ago by Ariel Ortiz in Tijuana. Everything went well. Right now I'm in bed in my hotel room at the Marriott, mentally preparing myself for a long journey back to Detroit tomorrow (I came alone). I've been reading that people with a support system are more likely to lose it and keep it off. I live in Detroit but am often in Chicago to visit my fiance. I'm looking for someone who has also been banded to meet up once a week or once every two weeks or so in either city for moral support. Things like switching recipes, talking about problems, and just encouraging each other over coffee, lunch, or dinner. I'm looking for a female under 35 with 40-100lbs left to lose. Does anyone know about support groups in these areas? I'm also looking for recommendations for doctors in these areas who do more aggressive fills with fluoroscopy. Thanks! -
DId everyone see this article on the danger of acid reflux medication? I have been taking it daily since my sleeve 7 years ago. Anyone else concerned? https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/millions-of-canadians-using-acid-reflux-drugs-for-too-long-risking-health-side-effects-1.4409011?fbclid=IwAR04LV_zelKOuCQuEZFt7zKRzhyN68fItehGCQpwU6RYOXURIkP9XqP6WLY

8+ week post and vomiting slime almost daily

Does anyone out there vomit slime often post surgery? When I vomit, its not food, its more like slime or snot. Very frustrating, and it happens pretty often. I take 30mg Pepcid (disolvable) in the AM and I wonder if that's the culprit, but if I don't take it I have heartburn issues.
