6 Month Post Op High Glucose and Insulin Tolerance Levels :(

I am over 6 months out and have not been taking any medication for insulin resistance or diabetes since my surgery in Sept. My dr just took lab work on me for my 6 month check up and I was surprised that both my glucose and my insulin levels are sky high. I am kinda bummed right now. Anyone else had this happen? I also had stopped my cholesterol meds after surgery and now I am about to have to start back on them. I have lost over 75 pounds and have just a little over 25 pounds to go to reach my goal. I eat what my nutritionist tells me to eat. I don't cheat, not even once over Christmas. I feel great and am looking pretty good. Just a little down with the lab results. I will go back to the doc next week to see what he says. Just wondering if anyone else had experience with this let down? -
type two diabetes Pre-op diet and diabetes

Hello everyone out there! So my surgery date is scheduled for the 16th of September. (yay can't wait) I have to start my pre op diet seven days before surgery and I was wondering if there is anyone out there who can tell me how it worked with their type 2 diabetes. I am just wondering what I might see and how others handled the juggling act of making sure your sugars don't go to low but also making sure they don't go to high either. Judging by the pre op diet I have a feeling that my sugar isn't going to decide to sky rocket but hey ya never know. So can anyone share their experience? -
I’m currently pregnant and my OBGYN is clueless on how to care for patients who have had Bariatric Surgery.. she wants me to do a glucose challenge test to check for gestational diabetes. I’m supposed to drink 75grams of glucose.. obviously it will cause me dumping syndrome. She didn’t know what dumping syndrome is and asked me to look for an alternative because the HbA1C wouldn’t give her a clear indication of gestational diabetes. Anyone with experience here?
