CGJ do you think those you just ordered would feel comfortable with our lady parts? I hate it when my jeans are snug in that area. Sorry if TMI.

I was banded on the 9th and everything seems to be going ok except my larger incision seems to be getting worse instead of better. TMI warning .... The incision never seems to stay scabbed over for more than a day, has light draining and is slightly painful. I called my doctors office and they seemed unconcerned and said this is not uncommon for the center incision but I am getting frustrated. Has anyone else has this issue?

Very embarrassed but question about Urinary incontinence
LeighAnneF posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am a newbie, and am very embarrassed about this, but occasionally, when I sneeze real hard or after the 4th or 5th sneeze in a row, or laugh a real hard gut laugh, i may (not always) experience urinary incontinence (TMI, I know:( can anyone tell me, if after weight loss, does this get better? or not effect it at all? -
November sleevers! 6 weeks out and feeling discouraged!
Alisa11/18 replied to Alisa11/18's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thank you all for the encouraging words! It's so nice to have you all along with me on this ride! I did hit a stall at 2 weeks and it lasted alittle over 2 weeks. It was awful!!! But finally the scales started moving! I am having some issues with 3 things which could make a huge difference 1. Not getting to my protein goal 2. Not reaching my water goal 3. Sorry tmi but no bowel movements I am trying to reach my protein goals but at 6 weeks it is still difficult. I'm probably getting half my water intake too! Could this be the reason it is going so slow? I haven't weighed myself in 2 days and I'm waiting until tomorrow! I go in to see my sleeve dr in Friday and my goal is a total of 30. I would be happy with 30lbs!! -

LOL…The drain tube was not the freaky part…..it was the clot that took an Iron stomach to yank out!! It was almost as long as the drain tube and at first didn't want to budge. Sorry if that is TMI but someone may read this and need to know!! Thanks for the tip on the binder, after I read your post I tightened it up a little… -
August Post Ops

I was just wondering the same thing lately. I think it must be hormone fluctuations. There is a physical aspect to it for me (TMI: dryness). -
When I have a BM its so "heavy" that it won't move in the toilet when its flushed, so it doesn't flush. Is this normal and does anyone know why? Is it because of the protein I'm consuming?

Christmas - New Year Challenge
back2barb78 replied to Bea Amaya's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It's definitely not TMI. If I don't go for a week or more (this is one of my biggest problems), I will weigh 1-2lbs less after I finally go. It's crazy! -
December 2013 Sleevers Come In!
Thick'n'Thin replied to AtlantaRed's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Feeling better this morning, day three. I hadn't slept for more than a few hours at a time tops while at the hospital. Last night I slept for about 9 hours! I woke up with very little pain, lots of bowel sounds and even a (sorry TMI) first loose BM. I feel a lot better now. I was starting to see that weakness on the horizon from lack of calories so I called the docs office and the nurse was so helpful with instruction updates for me. I asked about getting back on my awesome protein shakes that taste like chocolate milk (Myology Muscle Science Whey Isolate, got it on Puritain Pride B1G1) and she gave me some directions and sent me on my way. Protein shakes, yogurt, and...PUDDING! Having my first shake now, life is good once again...lol. I'm glad my tastes for the shake didn't change. Love it! -
Dumping...with the sleeve?

Without giving TMI, not only did I spew, but I was trapped in the bathroom for an HOUR. I ate a meringue with cream and the effect was immediate!!! Never again. -

I have to fix my check in weight for today! Sorry if TMI lol, but I just used the bathroom for the first time in DAYS, and got back on the scale to find that I am 183.0! Yay! Lol I was shocked lol. Merry Christmas everyone :-D -
This might sound silly but I'm paranoid that I'm going to bust a staple and cause a leak. I'm scared to sit on chairs w/o a pillow for support on my back. When I go to bed I'm kind of sitting (my butt was kind of numb this morning I know tmi) because I'm scared to lay flat and bust something inside, when I cough or move or when it starts to make grumbling noises I hold my stomach like if I could shield it from internal damage haha. Now that I've wrote this things and see what I've been doing it sound silly but I've just read so manny horror stories from leaks and I'm a little nervous/scared about that. Sorry just had to vent. 5 days post op!!!

Oh Baby sleeve--I think I loove you!
Teachamy posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Day 6.5 post-op and I feel good! Not just mildly good, I'm talking standing, sitting, walking, wrapping, singing, pooping (TMI?) good. My nausea is gone, so are the meds, liquids and jello consistency food going down without a problem, incisions seem fine. I am so glad. There were moments immediately after I woke up in the hospital that I felt I had made a mistake. A lot of it is mind over matter, and I'm glad my body is cooperating. Merry Christmas everyone! Amy -

What Was Your Ah-Ha (Or Oh Crap) Moment?
Fluffnomore replied to SoccerMomma73's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I broke a chair at someone's house about two years ago. I didn't weigh too much more than some of the men there, but still... I think it's a combination of things. I refused to be in pictures. When I saw myself in pictures I couldn't believe it was me. It must have been the lens, or the angle, or something. Or I was standing next to that skinny person! That said, even employing all of the "tricks" like putting your weight on one leg, being photographed from above, turning my head…it didn't disguise that I was big, and getting bigger. Especially when I knew the person next to me in a photo did in fact look just like that... Two years ago I participated in one of those "have a month free" things at a local (very nice) health club. I loved it, really wanted to do it. But (TMI warning) I had female issues…I peed when jumping rope. Then I investigated that with a local urogynocologist, and had the surgery to correct that about 6 months later. I put off going to the doctor to avoid stepping on the scale. Sometimes refused to weigh if I had to go. This year I realized that the last two surgeries I have had (gallbladder and uro-gyn)--if they were not caused by my being overweight, they were exacerbated by it. And I spent a lot of the last year getting sick in small ways and not just bouncing back. And my weight kept creeping up. I realized that it was really a matter of time before I was staring at a diabetes or heart disease diagnosis. Maybe 10 years, maybe less. And did I want to live my life that way, or take the bull by the horns now? Anyway, here I am. Happy about the choice. Working on myself and my progress. -
This is really gross /sorry
Chunky_Dunk replied to meatball1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Are you male or female? Is this coming from your butt or other area? (sorry if it's personal) I ask because I am a month and 2 days post op and for the past week and a half I have been having this vaginal (TMI) discharge that is brownish pink and thickish. I don't itch, burn, or have any signs of any type of infection, so I'm not sure of what it could be. I don't hurt or cramp or anything. That is why I asked. I want to know if we are experiencing the same thing. LOL! If you are male or it is coming from your hiney, then we probably aren't experiencing the same thing. Would love to know if anyone knows what this could be. I only have one period a year pre op, and true to form I started my period a couple of days before my surgery (and was on it during surgery sadly ...) And this is around the time that I started last month and I do notice that around the time I am supposed to start I just get discharge, but never blood. I am not really bleeding. I thought I was (early start of period), but I only got the brownish blood looking stuff whenever I wiped. Now after a week or so the brownish color stopped, but I am still gettng thick clear discharge. So, I don't know if that was a type of period or what in the world is going on. My body just never wants to cooperate! Any guesses? -
December 2013 Sleevers Come In!
RunningA5K replied to AtlantaRed's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
All very good questions ATL...thank you for responding...here are the answers... Nope...nothing new in the diet (sadly). Same slim fast, same Protein, plain water (I don't like flavored waters) and same V-8. I am relatively mobile...I get my walks in to about 30-40 minutes a day, but do spend the majority of the day in a somewhat reclined position due to some continued pain around the large incision. I have been drinking in somewhat of a reclined position...perhaps that is the culprit...tomorrow I will sit up more and see if that fixes it. Thankfully, I seem to be regular in the BM department..although it was a tad loose this morning TMI I started having to swallow the Nystatin (for the thrush) about 3 days ago...wonder if it is a delayed reaction to having to swallow that now. Thanks for the hints...I'll sit up more tomorrow and see if that works! -
I'm only ten days out and while I'm still supposed to be on liquids (only) I am texting things as I am starving!! Trust me it's not head hunger I'm starved!! Soup going down well so defo gonna stick with that as a protein! Home made chicken and low cal!! I'm sure it's fine! Plus it helps my bowel work (tmi)

Question for the ladies about that "special" time...
Comfy_Blue posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow and woke up this morning to find that my period has started. When I first joined this site, I thought I remembered someone saying that you can still have the procedure while on your period because they're not going into your uterus, but I couldn't find that post. So my questions are: 1. Will starting my period delay my surgery? 2. Assuming I can still have surgery, is it better to wear a sanitary napkin or tampon tomorrow? (i heard that some people use a catheter after surgery. I'm not sure if I will be one of them because I'm only supposed to stay overnight Monday and go home Tuesday) 3. For those of you who were menstruating while having the operation, did you find that it was hard to change your pad/tampon because you were sore from surgery? Which would you recommend using while you're recovering post-op during those first few days? Thank you and sorry for the TMI, but it's Sunday, so I can't call my surgeon to ask. -
I would image it is ketosis. I had the stinky pee too!! :)Sorry if tmi. But there's a few threads about it lol people said the Listerine taps helped a lot also. It will pass but while your in ketosis I would take full advantage while you can. Meaning walk a lot and if you are cleared to do more do it now. I was in for..... sheesh almost 2 months and I dropped the most weight then.

TMI, bowel movements
itsnevertoolate replied to amanda4166's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
TMI alert !!!! I am so glad to see this post. I'm 4 days post-op and was feeling pretty good so I decided to go to the store. OMG I actually couldn't hold it and I pooped my pants. I don't think I can stay in the house for the next week and a half until I go on pureed foods. Is there any option other than living on my toilet for the next 10 days? -
I know this is TMI, but we are all friends here, right? I'm 5 days post op. All I've had is SF Popsicles and water until yesterday I had some chicken broth. Holy cow! It went straight through me. Fast! Is this normal? Today I had beef broth. Same thing! Am I going to have to eat at home for a while? This is annoying!

All of my December sleevers...
sandisleeve replied to blkdiamond377's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm 5'7" Lowest adult weight (2002): 180 My highest adult weight ever (2009): 293 Lots of yo yo-ing since then but most recent stats.... October 2013: 259.8 Surg date weight (12-12-2013): about 237 (lost 22+ on my own personally devised pre-op diet) 1st follow up at surgeons office, dec20: 222 (with clothes on) So I guess I'm down around 15+ pounds since my surgery 8 days go! No surprise due to the clear/ full liquids and diarrhea (tmi I know). My Ultimate goal is around 170 -- surgeon thinks I can get to the 150s... Time will tell... Really don't want to get down too low as I'm large framed and like my occasional sweet treat (: I also love love love to bake!! -
