For the past few weeks, I've had a hankering for a peanut butter cup, and have managed to resist buying any every time I've gone shopping. The combination of peanut butter and chocolate is a favorite even though I'm not a choco-holic. Recently I've learned about PB2 powder and have found a recipe on Unjury that just might satisfy this craving and still have more protein and good stuff than bad stuff. I just ordered some PB2 to try. Will let you know how the peanut butter cups turn out.

Wow! You're the first person that I've come across that will be there at the same time as me. I guess we will see each other and probably share a ride into the OCC. I arrive in San Diego around noon on Sunday. I haven't asked them specifically but I'm assuming they don't do pre-op testing on Sundays.

Surgery next week and I don't feel like I know everything there is to know. Like what vitamins, protein, and things like that. I'm hoping to have all the info at pre op appt. the dietician gave me a general handout (maybe I better go back and review) but I still feel somewhat lost. Back to the threads I go.

In spite of the fact that I grew up with the ocean for a backyard I am not a guy who has ever really taken to seafood. In search of protein tonight I'm cooking haddock. Fingers crossed.

Feeling weak. I have had low blood sugar now for a couple of days and am starting to feel it affect my daily life. I feel impatient and weak. Should I throw in a protein shake, or increase my calories? I find it hard to get 1,000 calories into my body some days. (Lost a total of 25 lbs in five weeks.) Suggestions?

Met with my surgeon today to tie up last minute loose ends. Filled and picked up my prescriptions for liquid vicodin, antacids, and chewable calcium. Picked some gas x, fiber chewables, liquid multi vitamins, and a pill crusher at Walgreens. My protein powders and new blender bottles came in yesterday, I believe I am prepared! One thing bothers me, can't get my engagement ring off!! :-/

So terrified of the scale right now! =/ I haven't eaten any junk food.. no sweets.. hardly any carbs at all.. lots of protein (that's my breakfast and lunch every day)..yet, I'm just a little anxious. I guess after so many times of failing.. it's hard to expect anything else. I know this works and for now I'm just going to keep up what I'm doing. My mom told me it's working.. I guess we'll see tomorrow. *biting nails*

I don't think I will ever get used to drinking protein shakes. You can try to sell me on it all you want, but they all taste semi-ass.

Day 5 post op, and I think I over did it this morning. I hate an unclean house so I was up washing dishes and vaccum cleaning and started to feel a little pain. Took my meds and a nap and feel 100% better. About to take a bath and get out of the house for a while. I have not been able to do more than 2 protein shakes a day. But I am doing hot tea and drinking water. Soo all is good in bandland.

I am at a stall. I had surgery one month ago. Down 20 pounds. I eat about 1000-1200 calories daily, and ride my bike at 21MPH for one hour six days a week. My clothes are feeling wonderful with muscles tightening up everywhere. But I feel the scale should be showing a bigger loss. A fear for me is could I be eating too little calories? I'm afraid that my body is thinking that it's in starvation mode and holding onto what I eat. FYI - my calories are 80% protein. Less than 10g of sug...
