Cher... We are the same My surgery was on Nov 12th... and I'm down 20 as well!!! I am feeling good... still tired and weak... as for Protein I am using the costco shakes too... I also found a great product called "Protein Blitz" it's like a Gatorade... each 20 oz bottle serves 30 grams of protein. You can find it at "The Vitamin Shoppe" or other places like GNC. This week I have stalled :-\ - Don't know if its the "3 week stall" everyone talks about or cuz I started my cycle... (TMI) Double-whammmie Lol o_O Oh well... 20 pounds is a Great start... keep me posted... Good Luck!!!! -
Im two and a half months post revision and im very happy. I had the horrible lap band over 7 years - and it did nothing but make me sick, depressed and unhappy. Now i actually get to feel what full is and not that horrible chocking - something stuck on my throat- feeling. I never felt full before and was always hungry before the revision. Now i do feel hungry but im so easily satisfied that its great. The weight loss is good- 50 pounds so far- including a 3 week stall. I just wish i had done it earlier Good luck to you on your new journey! !

Im 11 or so weeks out and just out of a 3 week stall- where i tired hard to stay positive. I just kept thinking that my body was probably in shock with small potions/healthy food/ exercise that it suddenly had to deal with. I put the scale a way for a week and was happy to see a 5 lb lost after that! Sometimes its hard to understand why my weight is not dropping off.. But slowly slowly it will . And will do so for u too! !!!

I'm in Plano and had my surgery on Oct. 22, 2012 at Baylor Trophy Club - had to go there because of insurance requirements. I had a 3 week stall after surgery but the scale has finally started moving again this week. I've lost 31 pounds total, including weight lost pre-op.

Hit the 3 weeks stall but at not quite 4 weeks I'm 30+ pounds from down from my heaviest and pant size 18 down to 14

From the album: 3 weeks and 30+ lbs
at my 3 week stall but looking and feeling better already -
Lolly...you are also due for your first stall (the dreaded 3 week stall). I think pretty much all of us had that in some form. So you may be in that. Just stick to what you're supposed to be doing and you'll be fine. Good luck!

I haven't had my surgery yet, but I have read that the emotional rollercoaster happens a lot as you lose so much fat and release the estrogen stored in your fat cells (I don't know why it doesn't happen to guys as much--maybe testosterone counteracts it? maybe women are just more conditioned to be in tune with our emotions? I'm just speculating, really no clue). How long ago did you have your surgery? I have also read a lot about the 3-week stall and I know to expect other stalls along the way. Keep in mind that even though you might not be losing pounds, you're probably still losing inches. The body takes time to recompose itself. I know it's easier said than done, but try to stay focused on the positive--you've lost 29# already! Try to look at your non-scale victories and know that more loss will come. Wishing you great success!

I'm not complaining about the amount I have lost just not liking this 3 week stall. A pound a week would be ok with me -
40 Lbs First Month Now What's Happening?
Goodgonebad replied to Goodgonebad's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It sounds like you are on the 3 week stall. I think we both did a good thing by putting the scale away. We just started our journey and are doing the right things, we just have to be patient I guess : ) after all we didnt put it on over night and we cant take it off over night. -
What The Heck, Stupid Stall And Weight Gain. Grr.
Ms skinniness replied to TheGamer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The 3 week stall usually lasts about 3 weeks and this is a time that your body is adjusting in inches. Which is even better than lbs.... My weight loss has been up and down the whole time depending on how much water I retain. I'd rather retain water and not be dehydrated but found it very frustrating that my weight fluctuated constantly. Sit back and enjoy the ride......it will come off it just takes time...... -

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call
Jenn31MA replied to newgrandmother's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I Did it!!! I weighed in this morning at 229.6 (a number i havent seen since my Junior year of college) and am down 50 lbs!!!! I have never been able to lose more than 20 lbs at a time and now I am down 50. Only 26 of that is after surgery (I had a 3 week stall) but I am still happy and I have no regrets. I only got sick once at the beginning but i can eat everything with no issues. I dont need to drink protein drinks becuase i get enough protein from food. I dont even feel like I had surgery except for the fact that I can now only eat a third or maybe fourth of what i used to! I am down to a solid size 18 and some large but mostly xl tops (used to be a 22 and xxl top) and the only annoying thing is all the shopping i have to do haha i am trying to limit myself to a few things here and there but for work i need business casual so its not super cheap. I hope everyone else feels the same and from the posts i see everyone is doing great with their loss! Now to get my butt to the gym  -

This could be the famous 3 week stall period....... Eat healthy, drink a lot of water and exercise......... -
Could my hormone injections cause my weight loss stall ? I am 4 weeks post op. I have read about the 3 week stall. I had surgery on Oct. 8 and I took my injection on Oct. 23 and have been stalled since then. I have lost about 20 pounds, but scales has not moved since injection. Very frustrated.

Weight Gain Since Starting Purée Meals...what Am I Doing Wrong?
doxieville replied to shamrockjulie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What's your carb intake? Until I dropped mine below 20grams a day I wasn't losing weight. Also at 3 weeks out you ARE in the infamous 3 week stall, but gaining 15 pounds is a bit odd. Are you retaining fluids? Are your bowel movements normal? (Yeah, no privacy on this forum! Lol) -

Should I Be Freaking Out Like I Am?
Carly4HandinSD replied to Aimstergal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Give it time, I am 7 weeks out and his a 3 week stall from week 3-6 I was getting frustrated, but then it started coming off again. Stalls are normal and while I wasnt losing weight I was losing inches. After a 3 week stall it felt good even to lose a pound. I try not to weight myself everyday like I was other wise that can get to you. Hang in there, it will happen with time. -
I Just Need More Time Right?.... Right?
shrinkydinkme replied to magz010's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like the dreaded 3 week stall came a few days early for you. And for many it is also bowel movements. It happens to most people and you will start loosing again. Just keep working your plan, sounds to me like you are doing the right stuff. Search 3 week stall on this sight if you want more info on it.
