    Any March Sleevers?

I'm in the 3 week stall phase right now. Two days and no weight loss. I know that doesn't sound like a lot but after loosing a pound a day since surgery it sucks. LOL. I'm with you this would be the time that I would be on my way to McDonalds for a big mac and fries and large coke. Now I CAN'T do it and thats what is helping me. I'm just trying to stay positive and keep drinking my protein shake and water this morning. Good Luck to everyone stalling.

    Any March Sleevers?

Only lost 2 pounds this past week its that's "3 week stall" everyone talks about. 18 lbs total. That doesn't sound like a lot to me for what I've been through and for how little im eating. I know it will keep coming off and 18 pounds is actually good for 3 weeks. Its my rational vs my emotional. The GREAT thing, however, is that I can't just say "screw it" and eat myself into oblivion like I could pre op. And I know that it'll come off. One way or another, fast or slow...it WILL come off. I just need to be patient, get the protein and water in, and start exercising more!!

march sleevers the good and the bad

I just posted my before and during picture to my profile here for anyone who is interested... The pic difference represents 59 pounds lost from when I first booked my surgery date. For the month of March I've lost 21 pounds. 7 pounds during the two weeks preop and 14 since my surgery on March 13th. I'm THRILLED with my March loss even though I know that there are some who lose much more.. but I've been on 800 calories a day since the beginning of December so I didn't expect super dramatic results! I'm pretty sure I'm entering a stall now. My weight loss pattern historically always includes 2-3 week stalls followed by big losses so I'll just have to ride it out!

    Post op march sleevers

A stall is typical at about 3 weeks. Your body needs time to catch up. Keep following what your Dr. said. You may be losing inches. If you look through the site you will find hundreds of posts about a 3 week stall. It will come off. Good luck!
  6. This is very normal. The key is 60-80 grams of protein daily, eat carbs because they give your body energy, drink water and exercise. When you add excercise to the mix it confuses the body even more and it needs some time to catch up. Trust me it will catch up. I was in a 3 week stall at 35lbs...happy to say i am now at 50lbs, joined a gym...confused my body but when it caught up it caught up fast!! Dont stress it keep going and the weight will come off. By the way...GREAT job!! Dont forget to celebrate your success!!

    Any March Sleevers?

Hey everyone! I am now 15 days post op. Everything is going great with me! Im still not getting in all the protein but that's my new goal for this week! Im doing "Ok" getting in water. Not quite as much as I need but close. Starting working out yesterday (brisk uphill walk, was sweating bad and couldn't breathe after quarter of a mile, so I stopped but I know each day will get easier and I will be able to go further in a shorter time). I've lost 16 pounds as of yesterday, that's more than a pound a day I hope since im losing kind of slowly I wont hit that 3 week stall this week, esp since im going to up my protein and my workouts. A note to sleeves who haven't found out yet...when they say eat slow they mean eat SLOOOOW. I had some chicken for lunch, half a grilled finger. It went down fine w no probs. I decided to eat some more for supper but evidently I ate too fast. Had TERRIBLE pains in my chest and about 15 mins later threw up some white froth. Known as "frothing" or "sliming". It was gross and painful. So please, eat slower than slow and it can be avoided.

    The dreaded first stall...

I too enjoyed the typical 3 week stall a little early as mine hit after week 2. It moved again pretty quickly. You're doing everything right. The scale will move again.

    Puree protein ideas anyone?

Stalls are normal, especially at the 3 week mark. Almost everyone has a stall at 3 weeks. You can research 3 week stall and come up with tons of threads I feel you are doing am excellent job! Keep up the good work and that stall will end soon. You should be careful with carbs, though. They can cause a stall. GNC sells protein pudding that tastes pretty good or get unflavored Unjury protein powder and add to anything you puree.
  10. Well after being sleeved in November I had managed to keep things trucking a long really well. No typical 3 week stall, good strong weight loss, etc. Well it's now been 2 weeks since the scale moved. I really can't complain as I am down a lot (over 100lbs) which isn't bad for 4 months out. But I've still got 24lbs to goal and I wanted to get there by my birthday in late May. I know it's still achievable but I really had hoped not to deal with the stalls. Strangely even though I'm 4 months out my sleeve is still pretty tight, I don't think I'm clearing 4 oz per meal, well I know I'm not. Diet is about the same it was 6 or 8 weeks ago when I was still losing pretty rapidly. Honestly I went into this figuring if I even lost 60lbs I would be happy, and I'm well past that. I feel good and look pretty good where I am now, but after cruising along thinking I'm almost to goal it's mildly frustrating.

    So it's effing four months....

So today it's been 4 months since my surgery. I had calculated through a couple of formulas that I would be down exactly 50 pounds by 3/20. (I'm analytical like that) I missed it by 2 pounds..damn. First I had about a 3 week stall, since then I've lost exactly 1 pound a week. For the last 30 day's I've lost exactly 5 lbs. That's pretty depressing. I could have done that or better with out the sleeve. I've eaten right getting plenty of protein, logged on MFP, done the cardio, kept the carbs low, drank the water till I am about to float away. Still only 1 lousy pound a week. I only have a couple of months left before the weight loss starts to get tougher. I wanted to be at goal weight by August (my 55 birthday), because i am going hiking in Alaska and do not want to be a fat ass doing that. Now, don't know if I can get the 53 pounds off by then. Very discouraged about that. So today, I had to go buy some clothes because a while back I ditched all my "skinnier" clothes thinking that I would never get under 260 pounds. Since surgery, I've basically worn track pants that have a drawstring. I have a job opportunity and needed a pair of slacks and dress shirt. For the inital interview, I wore a suit that was at least 15 years old, that somehow didn't get donated to the smiling g. At the store, I picked out a pair of pants that I thought should fit and tried them on. The were too snug , so I had to get a size that I've worn for a long time. I was soooooo bummed. Granted it is 3 sizes smaller than I was at surgery, but I really was expecting to be down one more size. So I am beginning to waver about the sleeve. I read about all these people that have lost 60-70-80 pounds at 4 months. It is depressing. I am glad for them, but for the life of me I can't figure out what I am missing. Not a great way to celebrate an anniversary.

    Arkansas Roll Call...

I was 4 weeks yesterday. I got sick last week with a uti and ran high fevers... I don't know if it's coincidence or what, but I've lost 4 pounds since then... Maybe it was just the break of a 3 week stall
  14. O.T.R. sleever

    New to this...and already frustrated

BTW, what you are experiencing is referred to as the 3 week stall. Most sleevers experience it.

Lying about Weight Loss Surgery !

We need a separate forum just for this topic, also 3 week stall ( or any stall ) and if I put a big Mac in the blender is that purée food questions. I am amazed that it's gone 50+ posts and nobody has been called a nazi yet, when did it get so ok to toss that term around ? Anyway sorry to interrupt, please continue "supporting" one another !
  18. I've lost 18 pounds since I came home from the hospital, I'm now in the 3 week stall I've read so much about. I'm not hungry at all, which is crazy because the amounts of food I can eat is so small compared to what I used to eat. I feel great though.
  19. NewKristen

    Truth!

Doesn't chocolate count for the liquid diet, as long as you let it melt before you swallow it? I feel ripped off. The only thing I have ate that wasn't on plan was a yogurt covered pretzel (little bitty) and a waffle fry. I then went into a 3 week stall. So screw all of you that are cheating and losing weight!

    Not losing weight

I am 5 weeks post op tomorrow and I had a 3 week stall. I thought I was going to lose my mind and then suddenly this week I lost 8 lbs. Just be patient. I knew I would have these stalls but they are so annoying. Take it easy on yourself. It will happen.
  23. I'm 8 weeks post op and still don't have crazy energy. I was told if I started exercising it would give me more energy. Hmmm, to tired to exercise but I'm going to try it this week. I just got out of a 2-3 week stall and don't want to the scale to stop moving again.

    All of my December sleevers...

Hi all! First congrats to everyone who is improving their health-- you all rock! I just want to shout out to all my fellow slow losers and remind them enjoy their own journey. I've lost 22 lbs since my surgery on 12/17. It's a little shy of two lbs a week. I also just turned the corner from a stubborn 3 week stall. Comparatively, my loss is puny...but for me, it makes a big difference. It means my sleep apnea, blood sugar, blood pressure and ability to be active are all better. I will reach goal. It may take me a full year or even two...but baby steps are steps in the right direction.

Why am I a Slowwwwwwwww loser?

Thanks for posting. I have been on a 3 week stall. Hanging out at 199.5. It's like my body said, "hey, you are in onederland...we'll hang here for a while :-/ I see people losing twice as fast as me at the same starting BMI...all i can do is shrug and go on my own journey. I agree those of us who are losing slower simply aren't as vocal as those losing mega-lbs every week it's nice to hear i am not alone.
